Total Failure in Customer Experience!! My family, including adult children and friends, chose this cute restaurant a short walk away from our rental home for dinner. The hostess was helpful, and seated us in a shorter time frame that anticipated. That's where the good experience ended. We were served the wrong drinks (ordered mojitos and were given marguritas). When we asked the server if there could have been a mistake, she assured us they were the right drinks.... but hard to confuse rum with tequila. Once orders were placed, the appetizers came out quickly. My 24 YO daughter incurred burns on her finger, lip and tongue from the zucchini sticks. Fully understanding that things can be hot out a frier, these were insanely hot, even 10 minutes after they hit the table. A warning would have been nice. An apology or some form of empathy would have also. I had to go to the bar to get ice and a napkin. Our waitress was cluless once informed of the incident, and now was entirely avoiding our table. No water, busboy brought food, etc. This was IMHO a complete breakdown in communication. When a very young manager finally came over to our table (after going to the wrong one first), there was little but an assurance that the food was cooked to temparature, and their friers were set to the right level. Nothing but CYA talk. Where's the human aspect for a young lady holding ice on her face and unable to eat? We did get an order of zucchini sticks and chicken fingers credited, but who cares. The owners/managers appear to be three siblings who have no idea how to treat customers. It really is too bad. It is unfair to ask anyone reading this to avoid this restaurant, but there are other options in the area. I have empathy for the service industry, but to not at least have the humanity to say "I'm sorry", "is there anytihng I can do to help", or any form of human emotion, is an incredibly huge miss. I would likley not have been compelled to write this negative review had anyone shown a sliver of compassion. As a complete aside, the dinner was OK at best. I am guessing their breakfast is better per the other reviews on Yelp...

My wife and I visited The Rail this morning for the first time. We stopped in for breakfast at 8:45AM. We found a great table on the patio and we were greeted by our server immediately. I had the corned beef hash and eggs. My wife had the chicken and grits. The corned beef hash was cleared freshly made with large pieces of fresh beef and just the right amount of potato. It also came with delicious fresh asparagus. My eggs were cooked perfectly. My wife said the grits were delicious, very cheesy and buttery! A healthy portion of Swiss chard came with it and was a delicious pleasant surprise. The coffee is roasted locally by the Snowy Owl. It was served piping hot and the refills were free. My wife had Tea and said it was also served piping hot! One of the owners Cameron (Cam) came by our table several times to say hello and check on us which was a pleasant surprise and not common on Cape Cod. He owns the restaurant with his brother Ty (Tyler) who is obviously a very talented chef. The building is beautiful old Cape Cod architecture and landscaped nicely with fresh flower boxes. This is the nicest outdoor patio in Orleans. I highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to return to try the rest of the menu. The food, service and...

Had a great dinner experience last night. Reserved a table inside for 6. We were seated promptly and offered cocktails. The cocktail menu includes many different unique choices and a strong beer menu as well. Seating is quaint and homey. Lighting just right at the table. Service was on point from beginning to end. Our server Danny was cordial and attentive. He had some great recommendations for dinner. Appetizers were great. Nice and hot. ( try the fried calamari). Dinners were amazing. We had the pasta primavera, chicken piccata, and fish and chips . The pasta dishes were absolutely wonderful. Not grossly overpowering in flavors, but subtle deliciousness! Fish was delightful. Nicely done with Large portions. Cole slaw was yummy too!! We tried blueberry lemon cheesecake and strawberry shortcake. Both were great. Highly recommend this nice...

Not great. I had the breakfast burrito which was basically bland eggs and some steak in a wrap. It was supposed to have pickled radish, cheese and picante sauce but I had to open the burrito up to look for them, there was a scant amount of each (see pic attached). Hash browns were basically store bought frozen ones. Coffee was weak, and they did not come back to check if we needed a refill. They charged us for items that were never delivered to the table and they also add a 4% "Provision" charge to all bills...which was not mentioned in the menu. This is unethical at best, illegal most likely.

Little cute restaurant that offers breakfast and lunch. I stop by after i read the reviews and i was exited to try the food. Unfortunately they did not had what i wanted (chicken and waffle) but we try couple different plates. Eggs Benny was really good . We had Apple and Bacon croissant - what amazing combination. We also try California sandwich, we add bacon ,french tost, yogurt and traditional American breakfast - breakfast combo. Service was ok . We sit outside and they even bring watter for our dog.

We didn’t realize we had showed up 20 minutes before closing but the staff didn’t say anything and sat us without an issue. They have a really fun menu with unique combinations. Their outside seating was lovely, we went really early so it was still a little chilly out. I had an aperol spritz and their apple egg croissant sandwich and I absolutely loved it. Any boyfriend got their burger and devoured it.
