So the pizza is really good. But there are just too many negatives to out weigh the positive. I’ve eaten there probably 5 times out of the last 8 months and every single time they have not done something right. One time I ordered cinnamon rolls and they just gave me dough with cinnamon inside. Literally nothing else. This last time I order 45 minutes ahead of time, they told me 20-25 minutes but I know pizza places say that but actually mean an additional 10 minutes. So I figured I gave them plenty of time to get my 1 pizza ready! I show up stand in line for 10 minutes and was told it’d be another 10 minutes before my order would be ready. There is really no consistency with the pizzas either. Sometimes the pizza is really good, sometimes it’s mediocre. They have young kids working so the employees are really as inconsistent as their pizza. In the end this place isn’t getting my patronage anymore. I’d rather go to literally anywhere else along the way to work. Save time, money and frustration by just stopping off at the gas station next door and buy some jerky or something.
I’m currently giving it another go. Ordered a sandwich 40 minutes ago. Asked if it would be ready for me to grab on my lunch break. They didn’t start making it until a few minutes after I got here. I watched a fellow customer ask one of the employees why they were being so rude, she responded with, “because I can”. Now I’m spending my lunch break waiting for something they said they’d have...
Read moreThis is a mini hole in a wall by route 66. For anyone who is coming to the high desert for the first time, or is on the road, this is definitely a good pizza spot to check out. I was taken here for the first time after being in the high desert for 3-4 years!
The food here is a-mazing, they have a daily special (which happens all day) including 2 slices of pizza with any 2 toppings and comes with soda for about a little less than $8. They make the pizza fresh off the bat, and coming out steaming.
The place is constantly busy, and there is always a line! For a small shop out in the middle of the road, it is not doing too shabby at all. They have small outdoor and indoor dining, just unfortunate with COVID it's not completely open. However the decoration is cute, and definitely a spot to check out whether it's to go or for walking and eating while checking out the rest of the small shops by the pizza place.
Their cheese bread is pretty good as well, and the manager and staff there are all super nice.
The only downside is that like some of the yelpers mentioned, they do not wear masks when talking to customers, or the mask can be under the nose (which can be a bit concerning).
They have a small parking lot in the back that is generally not packed, and they also have street parking as well in which is generally empty. Def worth...
Read moreThis is my new favorite pizza place. I had a calzone and it was so delicious!! I read some of the review before we went so I almost didn't go.But so glad I did. there's no way their reviews were accurate Because my experience was amazing and the food was fantastic. It was one of the best calzones i've had in a very long time. You can tell that all the ingredients used in both my calzone and my salad were very fresh. Even my husband liked his food and that's rare because he doesn't like anything. He said the chicken wings with the habanero mango sauce were great. He really enjoyed those and the truckers potatoes. The potatoes were delicious and had a really yummy spice on them. we had a wonderful time. The service was very good. The only thing I didn't like was.I ordered a sundae and it was very small. It was supposed to have whipped cream, but it didn't it was supposed to be a strawberry sundae But it just had what looked like, strawberry quick on top. I didn't even see any strawberries.I thought maybe it would have a little because of the rest of the food was so great and like I said, very fresh.. The ice cream tasted old like it had frozen bits of ice in it. But because the rest of the food was great, I can look the other way on that. I cannot...
