I don't even know WHAT just happened. I find myself wondering if I did something which SHOULD have upset them, given the way we were treated. My best friend helped host an event last night, so I was running her around finishing up lose ends and she wanted to buy me lunch for helping her. Cool. She's talked about likeing this place before and I've been meaning to try it for a while. We arrived separately, I arrived before her, so I pulled up in an unintrusive stall toward the end of the lot. The car hop approached almost immediately and asked what we wanted, I told her we were waiting for someone, she told us to flash our cautions when we were ready. No problem. After waiting 15 minutes, we were asked to move to the street because of some sort of policy. This seemed odd to me as they weren't busy, and when a location has car hops etc. I presume they're trying to maintain an old timey, relaxed and courteous vibe, but it didn't bother me to move, and I've had to uphold silly policies I don't believe in in past jobs, so nbd. I moved. Within a few minutes my friend was there and I came back. The car hop looked a little sheepish when I pulled back up but... again, nbd, I get it, it's silly, but I get it. My friend was not happy they had me move but I told her, it's not the car hop's fault, I'm sure it's just some weird policy. Let's move on with our day. There were no paper menus, so we looked it up online... k. When we ordered someone ordered a sandwich which states it comes with the option of a pretzel bun... she said she didn't think they had it but she'd check. When the food came... the vibe CHANGED, with a lot of sudden attitude, the car hop, shared that they don't have the pretzel bun and if you want you can come talk to the manager about it. 😐 No one wanted to talk to a manager, my friend did recommend they update their menu about it. "Our menu IS updated." 😐OK. Well, you don't have paper menus and the online menu from the ArdyandEds.com still says you have an option you don't. But we weren't going to have an argument in the middle of the drive in about it. We ate our food, with a small discussion in the middle confirming we HAD ordered three sodas for three people and having her bring the last one. And called it a day. The sandwiches were good. The cheese curds would have been really good if they weren't hollow. Everything was fine food wise, not great, but fine. What I won't forget, though, is the feeling of being a nuisance. I'm STILL rehashing things, thinking I MUST have done something wrong. Smh. Maybe I AM too nice. Next time, if the person I'm with thinks they shouldn't tip, I'll let THEM make that decision, because I stood up for this girl after the whole "policy" thing, and now I feel like a pushover. If you're going for keeping the old timey vibe, you need to follow that through. If you're not interested, just make it a drive thru and call it a day. Either way, I don't see...

The prices did not match up to the quality of food. We would even suggest just getting McDonald's if you want food.
The burger (that was practically just 2 buns) was not worth $5 and the cold fries weren't worth $3.
Took a while past when the lady gave us our menus to actually take our order. The parking lot wasn't super busy and there were 2 waiters outside. Food came out on roller blades, so that's another tack onto the atmosphere.
However- my fries came out at a temperature I could hardly consider lukewarm. My burger was 90% bun. I double checked and saw that the patty wasn't even covering the whole bun. It had ketchup like I asked but I couldn't even taste that.
My boyfriend had the chicken sandwich which he had to wait to cool down because it was that fresh and hot. He said he ended up having to take off the tomato because it was hard. The chicken wasn't overdone, so that's another plus.
It's sad because we heard people rave about this a couple years ago. We finally decided to try it, but... maybe it was good when we first heard about it. Not now.
We will definitely not be...
Read moreAlways wanted to try this place after moving here two years again, and unfortunately this will be our only visit. We placed an order online and we were told it would be ready at a particular time 25 minutes later. I show up at the time give and still had to wait 20 minutes for our food! Not once did any of the waitresses return to at least communicate to me that the order was not started on time, if their system had not provided an inappropriate time, etc. I do not mind waiting a few minutes as not everything can go perfectly to plan, but 20 minutes was excessive. When I finally did get the order I drove off in frustration without realizing that they forgot to give us the $1 “car tray” for our son…..I know it it a $1 and it is just a tray, but it is the fact of the matter. They also forgot to give us the dipping sauces we asked for with our fries and fried mushrooms. The quality of the food was not all that great for the price as the burgers were small for the size of the buns, and the buns were stiff as if they were about to go stale. Definitely disappointed to learn that “the great” Ardy and Ed’s is not...
