Parnell's Place — Restaurant in Oshkosh

I was there tonight with my family totaling 4...I've been going here on the regular for 30 years now and as things do change they have recently and I'm saddened to say its not a good change for them...even my visit (month ago)b4 this one was a disappointment but tonight was totally unacceptable...we walked in together and I went to the end of bar between 2 men as my family stood out of the way behind me so that I could get a number for dining, she came back and fourth to service the 2 men on each side of me, one ordering a tap beer and other paying for his bill, each time she was back I asked if i could please get a number, i know she heard me(im not quiet) and she looked right at me...I get life and understand when things get busy it's tough to get it all done...it wasnt that busy as ive been there numerous times and there was also 2 other (men)workers behind bar...so I (and my family) waited for about another 5 minutes both men beside me left bar, bar only half full watching her standing there with her hands on her hips(was a bartender myself for 5 years and slogan was "if you're leaning you should be cleaning") so looking at this women's back I shouted out "can I get a number please!!" She turned right around grabbed number and threw it at me...okay not acceptable, no apology nothing...guess I (or my fam)dont need anything to drink that would probably be asking to much of this bartender!!(and i wouldn't want that tossed at me) Our food was great and so was our apologetic waitress whom tired to make things right by giving us 4 drink tickets after we paid the bill. First time my husband and I ate here and we will not be returning. Firstly, there was chicken bones amongst other random scraps of food under the tables. Kind of expected the place to be dirty since it's a bar but still.. We went here because we are fairly new in town and are in search of a good fish fry. This is NOT the place. There was a wait so we started a tab at the bar. Bartender forgot my drink, and started making other drinks. Husband had to remind him about my soda, even though it was only a few mins passed when we first ordered the drinks. My husband ordered a seafood platter and I ordered a cheeseburger. His fish was burnt and the fries were hard. Waitress forgot his soup and didn't warn him it was scolding hot when it was served at the end of his meal. My burger was undercooked and tasted like a McDonald's patty, also hard fries. Our waitress didn't check on us and we had to flag her down several times for refill of drinks, soup, and napkins. Her attitude wasn't the best either. As we were waiting for our bill, we overheard a patron ask if there were any open tabs, as she had enough to drink and had her chicken ready to go. The bartender replied with my husbands full name, with the credit card in his hand, showing it to the customer!!! The customer then started saying she was husband and to put her drinks and meal on the tab!!!! We decided that was enough of Parnells for us. I would give zero...

Did a takeout order, had to repeat order 4 times & they still forgot part of it. Thankfully my husband checked before we got all the way home. Called & had to go back but the guy never had it remade, so I had to stand & wait, only to walk out with a burnt grilled cheese, after again standing there waiting because he never had it made the 2nd time either. Order fries, nowhere does it says fries are Cajun, but that's what we got, so those went in the garbage as spicy food can't be eaten. The prime rib was extremely over cooked, more than fully cooked and ZERO flavor, the broasted potatoes, we would have had the same taste as just eating a raw potato. The only thing that wasn't terrible was the coleslaw slaw & cheese curds. Now let's talk about when I walked in.... bartenders standing around scrolling their cell phone, stood their 6 minutes before even being acknowledged. People with empty glasses & the bar was disgusting dirty. And When I had to go back the 2nd time the bar was still dirty. My husband was so excited to try this place, ended up very disappointed in all of it. I wouldn't give any stars if that was an option! Definitely not worth the...
