The New Oasis Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Ottawa

Thank you to the owners and staff at this restaurant. I have been over the road since 1998. I am beyond disappointed with our selection of meal options out here on the road. I was skeptical to check out your restaurant yesterday (5/11/22) just due to being let down to many times from the lack of help, early closing or nothing to choose from other than fast food. Wow! Just wow!

Great job! The food was delicious. Portions were perfect. Service was excellent. Spirit was great. I am totally impressed with your restaurant. Thank you for bringing a great meal to the table backed by excellent service and more than fair price.

The waitress was kind and accommodating. The food was absolutely horrible. I ordered the chicken fried steak. He had the chopped steak. Mine had this horrific pond of gelatinous goo on it they call chicken gravy. That gravy was disgusting. They took it back and remade it with "white gravy." That turned out to be sausage gravy and it was horrible too. Should have went with the brown gravy but my lord the brown gravy is disgusting too. It's not homemade gravy, I promise. His chop steak was bland as bland gets. Both of our mashed potatoes were gross as all get out. He had the brown gravy, I tasted it and it's gross. When it comes to home cooking this place fails. I could cook them out of business with my cooking. The salad bar is not much of a salad bar at all. I hate their food and will never eat...

Attn,Right off the I-80 and US 71. Don't let a gas station detour you from trying it out. Excellent service, staff, good quality of food.. Fresh vegetables for popeye omelet/ bacon, spinach, added Swiss. Sub potatoes for tomatoes. Biscuits and Sausage Gravy for me. It's worth the stop. You won't be disappointed.
