Very expensive for the quality.
We waited over an hour for our food after ordering, and although the food was decent, it was only slightly above average and certainly not what I expected for the cost.
The burgers being made with wagyu beef is a nice touch, but aside from the $18 pricetag and the description on the menu, I'm not sure you could tell the difference in comparison to a basic bar burger at half the price. I would also recommend something other than a pretzel bun.
The tin-roof fries are very good, however, and the gator bites are worth a try.
They seem to have a decent drink menu, too, with some good options on tap, but a tall beer will run you $8.50 and is served in a plastic cup. Signature cocktails also come in plastic cups and range from $10-$15.
The outdoor patio area is very cool. There's two full size sand-volleyball courts, several sets of cornhole boards, a large stage, and even a handful of fire pits with adirondack chairs. It was a little weird that they didn't have anyone playing on a Saturday night in August, but I wouldn't fault them for that. Adequate lighting outside would be nice for eating after dark, otherwise you're literally eating in the dark.
Overall, if priced right, I think Kick'N Kountry has the potential to be a very cool hangoutâespecially in the summer. I could absolutely invision hanging out with a group of friends, enjoying dinner and a few drinks, while playing cornhole next to the fire. But unfortunately, with the current pricing and excruciatingly long wait times, I probably won't be back and I can't imagine they'll be seeing a whole lot of other...
Read moreNot a good experience. Letâs go with the good stuff. The atmosphere, nice looking menu with a lot of options and even though we didnât have any specialty drinks, they look tasty! we had a super nice waitress that was real accommodating But she did laugh a little over extended. But Iâm not gonna shoot the messenger. It was more of a kitchen issue that we had.
Now the cons, We were there for lunch and an hour and 45 minutes we were leaving. It took an extremely long time to get the food. We noticed my wifeâs hamburger sat under the hot lamp for at least 10 minutes before my meal came out. The waitress did say they were waiting on my fries. When we received our food, the chicken sandwich was overly fried (big time)probably the worst fried chicken sandwich I ever had and those fries that they said they were waiting on were lukewarm and cold by the time I got done with them. And my wifeâs hamburger was a little on the dry side. The waitress did ask how our meals was and I did tell her It was probably the worst chicken sandwich I ever had. To her defense, she did offer to send it back and I said no I donât wanna wait an extended period of time to get another one. Our friends had the pizza and they said that was good. Maybe they were just shorthanded on that day, but I did see plenty of employees and it was not that busy. So if you go ,plan on it taking a while to receive your food and I would stay away from the fried chicken sandwich. Not saying that I would never go back again. I know what food to stay away from and have ...
Read moreThis place was packed Saturday night! They had a band from Ypsilanti playing at 8. The band was great and so was our server!
The burgers were huge and very unique! I ordered the western burger with mushrooms. It was pretty good. They said they cook them to order, but my medium rare was definitely more like medium well. I think I wouldâve liked my burger a lot more if it hadnât been overcooked. The bbq sauce is amazing. I believe itâs actually homemade. It makes the western burger for sure. My friends who ordered the chili burger loved it and said theyâd definitely get it again.
My friend ordered the black n bleu burger and it came with a balsamic vinegar glaze on it, which I looked at the menu and didnât see anything about it in the description about a glaze? He sent it back for another burger and they were very understanding and got his new burger out asap.
1 of my friends ordered a cheese fry plate with pork belly. I personally think it was a rip off because of how little there was of pork belly. I definitely wouldnât order it.
The breaded mushroom appetizer is 10/10. The breading is seriously the best breading Iâve ever had on mushrooms. Crispy, thin, and flavorful. The pretzel bites with beer cheese wasnât bad. We would definitely pick the mushrooms over them tho.
The downfalls were: 1: They need bigger booths or more tables to seat a party of 5+. 2: Everything is so expensive!
Overall it was a good experience. We will definitely come back and try more menu...
