Dave - I am not sure when your most recent visit was and I do not work for the restaurant but having went there off and on for the last 12 years many of the issues you mentioned, could have and can always be addressed right at the moment you're suspecting a problem for example when ordering your drinks you get a chance at that point to recognize whether your silverware is clean or dirty before using it and before your meal is served that would be a perfect opportunity to mention something in order to receive new clean and fresh silverware plus it also allows the restaurant to address that situation in real time so if there's a problem with their dish washing machines it can be corrected and fixed immediately so as to not inconvenience anyone else at the given time. Also having worked in the restaurant industry myself a meal that's delivered cold on arrival can be taking care of and replaced immediately Plus it's obvious for the restaurant to take notice of it meaning that it was served to you cold right there and then again in real time so that they can correct the problem right there and then and a replacement can be made right away so you don't get a ruined meal and you have a fair opportunity to review and give a positive reaction and following comments on the taste all of everything being served to you for your meal not just the main course but perhaps everything from the dinner rolls to your salad or perhaps coleslaw or applesauce and then a reflection of the main course and how is that presented and how did it taste typically again the main courses even broken down in that if you ordered deep-fried cod for example you also will get I side with that which maybe a potato or starts of some kind that could be mashed potatoes or french fries and of course we would also be hoping to hear about your comment on the taste...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite place to go with my grandma, as a child! The food is just not the same! Hash browns soggy and crunchy at the same time! (One side got cooked) the scrambled eggs come overdone with brown on them, the sausage gravy is “premeasured”. Ergo, when it’s so watery you can barely see any, then I asked for a touch more for my last 4 bites, because it was dry, and I got charged $4.29!!! I did not ask for a whole cup! I asked for a 2oz. soufflé cup! Also, The Bill’s breakfast is hash brown with toppings and country gravy. The plate was half empty. It’s hasbtown! We always ask to substitute the gravy with chili (a 2oz. chili!!!) so instead of a substitute, they charge us $5.59 for chili! The manager would not even consider that we were never told we were being charged for chili or gravy that was visible! It was watery! Very disgusted with Greg and Lou’s. Just not conducive of a family oriented business because the customer is always right, first of all! They have NEVER taken a mistake of our bill! This is not the first time! I’m sorry but it’s just not worth the $50 I spent. I even left the server $12 because I didn’t look at the bill close enough!!!! It was $37 for two breakfasts!!!! (Before tip!) additionally… I went to the counter to dispute the charges and the manager says there’s nothing they could do! My friend was in the bathroom and, while she was in there, they threw away her Togo box! I called the manager back because my friend thought I had grabbed them, when I went to the counter, so we discovered it when we got home! Again, the manger said that “there's nothing we can do, they got thrown away”! Ok so, again, BJ’s reigns as the best...
Read moreThis place is ok. Staff is polite food is fine. Prices are not bad. I wouldn't drive out of my way to get here again though. We stood for a few minutes before we were seated, the guy who "sat" us stood off to the side pointed at us, then pointed down the length of the place say we could sit at a couple of diffrent places.waiter popped by gave us our menus and took our drink orders. Food came fairly quickly we had club sandwiches and I got an order of their ranch fries. Food came out and was plunked down at the table. For $2 you can up grade from chip to fries which we both did. Husband just got regular fries. The regular fries are just that plain no seasoning fries and definitely not worth the extra $2. The ranch fries had a great flavor but these are actually potato wedges which is really a bummer. The seasoning is very good but the wedges are huge and gooshy. They need to be doing ranch fries with a normal French fry cut and forget the wedges all together. Our waiter never came back, he left our bill as he walked by. Never stopped to ask if we wanted or needed anything else and we never got a drink refill. On the way out they have some over priced dessert you can purchase. It's $4 or $5 for a slice of pie which seems crazy. I did not think they were overly busy to account for anything and they had one guy bussing the tables the entire time I was there who also yelled all of his conversation across the restaurant to the other employees and a woman who was by the kitchen behind the counter filling plastic containers...
