Viva Mexico Authentic Mexican Food — Restaurant in Oxford

We originally got the tip that they had a bologna burger here so decided to check it out finally. I was happy to see that this was a Mexican place and that it didn't wasn't in the speedy Gonzales and numbered lunch family of establishments.

One thing that could be a drawback is sodas are sold by the bottle and only tea or water comes in something you can get refills in as far as I know. But they have Jaritos and horchata! Edit 2023: they have refills on colas now!

I had fried chicken tacos, which are kind of like taquitos at other places, little fried tubes of meat. Very tasty with salad, rice, cheese and beans. And the spicy green sauce on the side was really good. Put it on everything.

My husband had a Cuban. It looked like it had a hot dog or sausage on it, but I was assured their take was absolutely delicious.

They have a lot of breakfast options - not sure if they serve all day, but I want to come back and try some more...

Didn't know this was a Mexican restaurant until I got the menu. I was charged over $44 for what was supposed to be only $18. This place over charged me and I will never go back. Ridiculous how they took advantage of us just because we aren't from around there. We spoke to the waitress and explained how we were just passing through and wouldn't be back.... Then the bill came and was twice what it was labeled in menus. The food was far less than expressive and looks nothing like the pictures on Google. I am more than upset at the way we were handled. The food comes on Styrofoam plates and my friend ordered a steak. Yea.... paper plates and plastic utensils. This place is a prime example of why I don't believe that all small restaurants should be successful. Huge thumbs down...

I visited this place for some years now and service has never been a concern. Tonight 710p I enter the restaurant and a few moments later am employee walk by me, grabbed a bag of trash and walked out the door. Moments later came back in and walked right by me again. I was the only standing customer. She never acknowledged me. ( have you been helped; someone will be right out ). None of that. Like I was invisible. Horrible service and experience. The 2nd time she walked pass me, I just walked back out the door. I know my $ was no longer welcomed. I wonder has...
