El Paisa Taqueria — Restaurant in Paducah

It use to be good but I just went here today the young boy working didn’t know what a jalapeño was, also there Birria wasn’t that good, they charge an extra free for take out, other places don’t the manager there was just sitting around and had the young boy doing everything,it use to be good when the ladies ran it now it’s not so great they have the young boy cooking everything,and taking orders, if you don’t know what a Jalapeño is you shouldn’t be cooking, the Birria didn’t have good flavor, the young boy said a pepper came with the meal it was a slice of pepper and the other meal didn’t have that in there, also I wanted a whole roasted jalapeño not a slice. Just not as soon as it use to be it’s went down hill, It was $28 for 4 Birria tacos that insane, I can get them somewhere else cheaper and they taste amazing, I wanted to try them here but I won’t be...

Employee taking our order was pleasant, helpful and super sweet! Food was AMAZING! I only give it 4* because there were 3 of us that ordered(only 1 party, already there and served) and it took 30m to get our order(I'm not entirely sure, but she may have been the only employee there, she was doing her best :) ). and website says they are open Wed but when we arrived there was a handwritten sign that said they were closed Wed...(so we came back Thurs)We weren't upset or anything, but just make others aware that service was terrific, albeit slow. Everything is delicious and they are all very kind and friendly, we are Mexican and my wife cooks very good, so for us is hard to find flavors that are up to our standards, but this place is now a must whenever we visit Paducah from Atlanta! I ordered chilaquiles 😋 my wife got aguachiles 🤤 one of my sons quesabirrias, which when I tried them, I have to order me some, and my other son is vegetarian, so he order a torta without meat!
