I've been sitting on this review for a while. The owner is a very kind man who I can tell loves his job and his customers. The ribs fall off the bone, and to be honest, they are the best ribs I have had and beat out backwood BBQ. The wings aren't skimpy, and they also fall off the bone. The BBQ nachos are a large portion size and delicious. The baked beans are my side of choice and do have meat in them (which is how I make my bake beans and love them). I ordered a chili cheese dog but only got a chili dog, but I'm not going to complain or downrate the food on that. The chili dog was good. If I had a couple suggestions it would be to put price on your specials that are on the white board but aren't on the menu, and to put the chili cheese dog in something; a holder like sonic or the drive in, or make it an open face and put it in a styrafoam togo container, just something besides just the aluminum foil, it was pretty messy and the hotdog bun was almost kind of soggy. But the flavor of it was still there, so it was still a good chili dog. Overall, all of my experiences have been solid. Highly recommend going to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFive stars in every aspect. Stopped in here on a road trip and found some fantastic barbecue. I'll start with my favorite the hush puppies. The best hush puppies I've had in years. I also got the fried catfish and loved it. The catfish batter was very good and it was cooked perfectly. I washed it down with a pulled pork sandwich and loved the smokey flavor and the soft texture of the pork. The boy got the rib plate and ate every piece. Ribs were cooked perfectly in my opinion just enough texture to stay on the bone bone but soft enough to pull off when eating with your hands like it's meant to be. The wife is starting a new trend and barbecue joints and ordered fries covered in nacho sauce, barbecue sauce, sour cream. It's called the mess and if you haven't had it it's great. If you want to beef it up at some pulled pork to the top and that's called the pulled pork mess. Next time we're in the area we're definitely stopping in for some more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreXMan is the Super Hero of BBQ! As we were driving through Paducah, I looked for the town's BEST bbq restaurant. XMan is #1 and for a good reason! The restaurant has been open for only 16 months and it's already #1! Husband had full slab of ribs, Cole slaw, baked beans. (So many ribs that he has some for later!) I had pulled pork platter with baked beans and Mac n cheese. (A lot of food but I ate it all!) Oh my! The baked beans were wonderful! The ribs and pork sandwich was the best I ever had! And the Mac n cheese was cheesy and delicious! No, I'm not a family member but it is a family owned, operated, and hard working family business. Congrats to Mr X! Job well done! We wish you much success! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and take yourself off I-24 & head to XMans BBQ. You'll be glad you did! FYI I was too full to try dessert. Also no beer, wine or...
