Waitress was friendly- my children have food allergies she checked to make sure the food we were ordering was going to be okay. She didn’t roll her eyes. :) The food was good. You get a lot. We ordered a half app of the pulled pork- it fed six of us! The kids had BLT’s with fries or onion rings. The sandwiches were so big we had to cut them into four for their little hands. Lol. The spicy pulled pork sandwich was really good. - the coleslaw- not so much. My husband wasn’t impressed with the shrimp or the baked potato- ( it’s a bar- what do you expect?) Grandpa had a BBQ pulled pork sandwich- he said it was “ too much” and it was a bit stringy so it was tough to chew- but he has dentures- so a lot of things are “tough to chew”. ;) If you are a traveler just passing through- or would like some decent food that isn’t chicken or pizza ( the only other options in Milaca besides fast food) or would like to enjoy a drink, I would recommend stopping. They have steak and soups and salads as well. The price is reasonable.

If you dont want to read the full review, short review is thatnit is delicious and go here!!!The food here was absolutely fantastic and our server was great as well. She had some wonderful suggestions on what to try on the menu. The atmosphere is great. As you can see in the photos, the food looked, and tasted, fantastic! While the price feels a bit high initially, the portions were large and taste was fantastic, so we felt it was a great value. We got the Hoss burger (smoked pulled pork, onion rings, and some sauce), the Woodchipper (candied bacon on it), and then the last one I can't remember (had pulled pork, fries, and sauce). Added bonus, the onion rings are homemade and absolutely delicious!

The food was tasty, but the service left much to be desired. We called in a takeout order and were told it would be ready in 30 minutes. However, upon arriving at the restaurant, we were informed that they had misplaced our order entirely. After clarifying the situation, we waited at the takeout door for an additional 15 minutes before they finally completed our order. While the food quality was good, the lack of organization and delays were frustrating, making the overall experience disappointing.

We stopped here after going to Milaca Unclaimed freight. We live an hour & a half from Milaca... so anyways we go in, the floor is filthy. We seat ourselves & our waitress comes up & says "Pardon" as she sets the menus down & gets our drink order.... she comes back with the drinks & asks if we are ready, we weren't sure what we wanted yet. So she went off wiping down tables... she took forever coming back. Finally comes over & takes our order... she brings my salad & no silverware. So I try to catch her but she ran off to the kitchen. So I see her walking a few tables away I say loudly can I get some silverware ? Oh yeah sorry she says... after I waited at least 5 minutes for it. Food is expensive for the quality... premade frozen burgers, cheap nasty cheese curds... my salmon was very dry. So she never came back to ask us how the first few bites were or if we needed anything. As we got done she brought the bill with the box I asked for. Another waitress stopped to take our empty plates as our waitress was no where to be seen. And every single time she stepped up to our table she said "pardon" extremely annoying. Not worth the money. And the place needs a serious cleaning....

We were passing through on our way to Pequot Lakes/Breezy Point. The atmosphere drew us in after a quick peek on their website. We had 3 burgers and a salad:

  1. The fireside burger was HOT HOT, even for my spicy loving husband. Ask for an extra side of ranch or sour cream. The sweet potato fries were the best, the fav for the entire fam
  2. The Hack & cheese was perfect for my son (it even had bacon!) and he loved the crispy fries
  3. The Whiskey bbq burger was perfect for me, especially when I stole my son’s bacon, and the kettle chips had the necessary salt and crunch
  4. The garden salad was huge, especially for my daughter. She barely made a dent (I told her she should have gone for the side salad but of course 😜) The croutons were a miss and put to the side but we’re funny about that We had 2 cocktails: vodka soda & gin soda and they were cold, strong & perfectly sized. The waitress was great & attentive. The bathrooms were nice and the sink water was heated (hard to come...
