We went to the saloon last night for dinner. We have been wanting to try it for a while now. They have wonderful reviews and now I have the pleasure of adding another one. We arrived around 7:30 and we were seated immediately. Our server was Shelby she was very friendly and helpful you could tell that she really enjoyed working there. We order a appetizer, fried pickles. This arrived promptly steaming hot with the perfect dipping sauce. The pickles are whole spears and not the small slices. Delicious and filling. Be careful with them because they will fill you up. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn fritters, it was very good. It has a sweet barbecue sauce and the corn fritters are covered with maple syrup. I wasn't expecting that. It was a little to sweet for my taste but it was very very good. I plan on returning and asking them to hold the maple syrup. My wife had the build your own burger, it was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful and the French fries were very good crispy and soft. I had a iced tea and she had coffee, which by the way they Brewed fresh. The tea was a little bitter but OK. We will definitely be returning customers. I definitely want to try a root beer float. But by the time we were finished I had no room. They have a excellent selection to choose from on the menu so everyone should be able to find something. We had a great time, especially with Shelby she was a hoot. She made the dining experience. I hope she is well compensated for her efforts. She is definitely a keeper. I highly recommend trying...
Read moreI can't believe I hadn't heard of this place any sooner... All of their food is made from scratch and let me just say, you'll notice that right after you take your first bite! Not to mention they've got wide variety of drinks to choose from and even their drinks are what I call drinks. Unlike many other places that I've gone to and have asked for a drink only to find myself sipping on some kinda kids fruit juice or something... The owner there was SUPER awesome and down to earth, the waitress was EXTREMELY fun and friendly. They do offer a nice amount of outdoor sitting that's well covered to keep you from the sun's rays. All in all, if you're craving a huge, flavorful, wholesome, made from scratch meal, that's set back in the great Western days in a peaceful environment and incredible service, then, yeah, I'd DEFINITELY RECOMMEND that you take the drive out there and see it for yourselves. I promise that you won't be disappointed. You'll probably get full and have to ask for a box to go, but other than that you'll be happy you went and tried...
Read moreCaution This establishment has a nice atmosphere with the exception of The owners A.K.A. servers. She has a tendency of adding accelerated pricing on certain small items without discussing it with you first. Also, we would like to mention, even though our small service dog Is a necessary evil for epileptic attacks to notify help. The owners said that it’s not a service dog unless it is on a leash . Intoner words they are telling people they will except a license service dog only if it’s on a leash. And any other medical condition other than that is unacceptable in their establishment , unless it’s on a leash and a medical condition of epileptic does not matter to this establishment. So, we were asked to leave. If you want a good time and the steakhouse that accommodates and appreciates their customers. There’s one right down the road another 15 minutes up Sierra Highway.
