Maybe we caught them on an off day, or maybe they made changes due to covid. We always love Burgundy Brook and we're excited to eat in person after more than a year of take out. Kids were excited for breakfast as this place was their all time favorite. Surprisingly the pancakes were much smaller in size, the hashbrowns had more seasoning but a little overcooked. The omelets were also smaller. In reality, it felt appears all the portions were smaller. Our server had no mask while all others were wearing them. One took her mask down, sneezed into her hand and then went on with her business without washing. Again, hoping we caught them on an off day. Will try one more time to be fair, otherwise probably sticking to pizza and salad orders during the week. Updated October 2021: We gave it another go and found a time with fewer people present. The food is returning to pre-covid portions and standards. The family and long time staff are doing what they can to make it all work. Kind staff and hot food. Pictures from the October visit with just my daughter.

Zero stars for breakfast. Both the hash browns and apple cinnamon pancakes were terrible. I expected a bit more effort for the pancakes, such as maybe blending the apples and cinnamon into the batter vs. just throwing it in the middle as the pic shows. My buddy said the breakfast burrito he got was ok though. Update: To the owner response, I'm not sure why that would be strange that a entirely different menu item may be good vs. the apple cinnamon pancakes. Somehow these pancakes are listed as a favorite on the menu, but it should be ok to disagree in taste. Maybe the person making the pancakes on this day didn't do it well or something, but as a business man, customer opinion should sometimes be an influence to consider certain adjustments. Attached a comparison photo for reference

Hubby and I recently discovered this little gem. It's definitely worth the trip. I had french toast with the bread of the day (blueberry lemon) with sausage and hubby had the cinnamon swirl french toast with a side of kielbasa. Both french toast dishes were very good. The side of kielbasa was a little salty for my taste, but the sausage was good.

I got to Burgendy Brook with my boyfriend, there was a young couple around our age waiting when we arrived and an older man in his fourths greeted us and took our name in front of a podium.. We waited about 5 minutes (mind you I have Lyme disease and shouldn't be standing with bad knees) finally he called the couple in front of us in. Soon after 3 people walked in together. We waited for another 10 minutes and the man at the front kept saying your next to us. Finally a bunch of people had left and he look at the group of 3 and said I'll take you.. I said we were next... The man said we sit you next.. Not wanting a confrontation I decided to wait.. Another 3 minutes go by he finally escorts us in and sits us a a large table with 4 chairs right next to the people that he took before us at the exact same type of table.. What was the reasoning for him to skip us??? I was not only furious and in pain but annoyed and disrespected.. I wanted to walk out and my boyfriend said we waited this long we might as well wait.. The man gave us no apology or anything.. Some kid that looked to be 18 behind me he bakery counter or so kept calling him dad .. I seriously hope that was not the owner.. If so he is rude and has 0 customer service skills.. Oh and the food was just mediocre at best. We will never go again.. I also made sure to tell people eating from them at the BIG E to not bother going to them they have...

Went to burgundy brook cafe after hearing some good things. I was greeted at the door and was asked to wait a minute to be seated by a waitress, no problem. The manager then came over and sat us after a couple seconds of waiting as it wasn't busy, the waitress got mad about the manager seating us to the open table. We got are drinks quickly and put in are food order but then the service stopped. She quickly forgot about us. As we were waiting I noticed new people had been sat and already got there food, we had been waiting 20+ minutes for some basic breakfest food. Then noticed the waitress walk outside and not come back for 10 minutes. She never came over to check in on us, never said sorry your food will be right out. Pretty sure she didn't even put are order in. She walked by us another 4 or 5 times and nothing said. Finished my coffee and walked out. Walking out she didn't notice my party either. The manager saw us but failed to say anything. Total wait time 35 minutes for some...
