Surprise! I was charged for tea refill! If you ask for water, you get a $2 bottled water with ice, too! But affordable, if smaller entrees.

Decent, affordable place - more so for lunch than for supper, though. I had a queso and rajas gordita w/r&b (10) last time and cheese enchiladas (10) this time - topped with salsa, crema, and crumbly white cheese. I was impressed with their Spanish rice and their squeeze sauces. My wife had trompo tacos w/r&b (10) both times. She loved hers, but didn't appreciate the rice as much as I did. Drawbacks: 4" tortillas for tacos, charges for tea refills, no tap water, just $2 bottled water (might be for the best, Palmer has notoriously bad water) and they charging for tea refills. Nice enough warmed chips to start with interesting salsas. Won't be my first choice for a cheap lunch, though - too many other options for competent, authentic Mexican food down the road in Ennis - I recommend Reyna's, Gorditas Alvarez, Taco Gomez, Tacos Maria, Taqueria el Jacalito, and the two Mercados' cafes. No surprises...

I come here often to say 3 times a week. This is the first time I’ve had terrible customer service. I called in at 7:40 and got put on hold. I was on hold until I hung up at 8:05. Now I come in and the phone is still busy. There are 2 customers eating. Phone is still on hold. Two people cooking and one waitress. I expected a full house when I got here. If you can’t serve two people and answer the phone then you shouldn’t be working. I could have been at home waiting for this food now I’m standing here waiting for them to cook it. I usually tip as I come here so often and know the lady that is usually working, even though I’m always picking up my food. This place was extremely slow when they opened up. Had much better Mexican food many other places around Palmer. I.E. Ennis.Worse part is waitress brought us sweet tea instead of unsweetened as we ordered .we put straws in tasted it. She then took it back behind counter, and brought it to another customer dining there .That's disgusting!!! That customer saw this and refused it. If she did that what goes on in kitchen??? Won't see me...
