I like the course. Itâs a fun one to practice short and intermediate game. However the last time we were there the greenskeeper treated us like total scum. Iâve been a manager for over 30 years and if one of my employees ever spoke to one of our customers the way he did they would definitely be reprimanded. Itâs only the third time ever playing here so I donât know it like the back of my hand and typically on hole 1 I will pull my drive but today I pushed one way to the opposite side of the hole . I went to the ball and hit and as I was driving to the green I didnât see the two tiny signs that said no carts and it was early in the am around 8:45 and Iâm still drinking my coffee to wake up. So I crossed over the signs by about 5 yards not touching the green or anything just lidos over the line by a carts length and then parked where u are supposed to. The greenskeeper rushed out to the hole and immediately starts going into my cousin who wasnât even driving âif you ever Fâing do that again you are outta here â said the greenskeeper and he continued on for 5 minutes arguing with my cousin over who is 35 years old and he was speaking to him like he was 13. It started to get heated so I walked over to diffuse the situation and said sir I was the driver it was an honest mistake it wonât happen again. His face was flush red and he kept yelling at my cousin and threatened him to kick him out for good and was totally unprofessional. He was like âkeep running your mouth â to my cousin. It was ugly . If I hadnât walked over to diffuse the situation it wouldâve been even worse but I handle irate customers or upset staff from time to time and know how to change the temperature of the environment. What should have happened is he should have approached us immediately after we finished the hole and said âgentleman can I speak to you for a moment? I notice you just rolled over the No carts area back there by a few yards and thatâs a big concern, I know itâs not the green but we still canât have that as it can damage the grassâ to which I wouldâve replied âoh man, Iâm so sorry sir i honestly didnât even see the little sign and the front 3 holes are kind of confusing as they all touch each other and itâs hard to tell where one starts and the other begins but I will definitely pay more attention and it wonât happen again . To which he wouldâve said âthank you sir , have a good round just be really careful next time and if it happens again there can be repercussions â .. I would reply âI completely understand sir it truly was just a mistake we never do that !â but no he yelled at us , talked down to us and threatened us. I would be willing to bet if it was 2 65 year old ladies that accidentally did the same his demeanor would not be like that towards them. We are male and look younger so he feels he can speak to us however he wants and Iâm at 45 year old man . He definitely needâs reprimanded for his behavior but you know nothing will happen and they will just blame the customer and if I had to guess the greenskeeper would just lie about what truly happened. Learn people skills and treat all your customers the same in the future because that was unacceptable! The course itself is ok , itâs priced well for what it is not the best not the worst but the...
Read moreI went there today to get some practice in on their driving range. It was nice to be there without any company. It was cold, so I was the only one out there. No problem to find parking. Shop was open and I got a large bucket of balls. 6.50 $ I paid for it. Considering the quality of the balls it is questionable. But I go there often and so I will not go into that further. The grass tees are not that great. There is not a flat spot on the range, period. However, if you look a little longer, you will find a spot which works for you. Make sure you have a pin seeker or something. The distances posted on the signs are otherwise worthless. They are measured from a white marker which is at the beginning of the range. The wood practice area is much better and also smaller. The distances again need to be measured. Otherwise it is good. The practice green is right now not in the best of conditions. But it is winter time and so it is to understand. still works good and is fast. Great for chipping and putting. The sand trap is not big, but works. It is a little flat. You can chip it out if you would like and maybe even put it out. But good enough to do some good shots. It might not be the best area around, but you will have plenty of space and can do all kinds of shots, including downhill lay , uphill lay, side hill lay, behind trees and so on. That makes it a great place to practice your short game. The range is ok, but the balls are bad. They do not take out the balls which are broken. I will keep you...
Read moreWe have been going to the Terra Celia Bay Club Restaurant for years and have always spent the afternoon there for lunch at the pool. I spent $50 on lunch and drinks today with my friends while my daughter swam in the pool only to be confronted by a swine of a bully manager. Jacque as I believe his name was, hoisted his leg up on the pool and asked if I knew about the new âpool membershipâ which I did not. In previous years if you bought food you were allowed to use the pool. So he continues to tell me, while other patrons and members are listening, how I can go pay $100 for since months and then $5 for my daughter to swim. I inform him Iâve already spent money and I would be leaving and not returning ever again. How dare this man embarrass us and demand we get out and go pay $5 in the pro shoppe? No thanks! We had horrible service and then were very embarrassed. They should be trying to keep customers. Customers who have to walk inside to get drinks and ask several times to order food. My friends and family used to enjoy the tiki bar which no longer operates but none of us will be returning. So I strongly urge others not to visit this establishment unless you wish to be treated like a second class citizen...
