Coupa Cafe - Stanford Research Park — Restaurant in Palo Alto

Stayed here to work one of the days and ordered some breakfast and lunch here. On another occasion, I came here for some coffee. The quality of the food and drinks were high, so I believe it justified the above average cost.

The location was kept very clean and ordering was easily done over the app or at the register. Since it is a chain, you can collect points at any of the locations using their app.

If you order food though, there might be a bit of a wait. For example, I ordered the basic breakfast bagel on the app during breakfast hour around 8 AM and the food was ready 7 minutes after the estimated time (probably because they were also dealing with catering orders during that time). On the same day, I ordered a burger right after the lunch rush around 2 PM at the register, but it took quite a bit of time before my order was ready. On the other hand, at least the coffee...

One vegan option. Really could do with improving whole food plant based options. Expensive. Unfortunately, one of the staff, a supervisor I think, was rude to myself and my colleagues on more than one occasion, otherwise all staff are very friendly, particularly the lady who walks around checking the outside area, Patty gets 10/10 for customer service. She is amazing! Mike's bike repair in same building which is handy. The app for Coupa Cafe is not great. The hot sauce is terrible, you have to ask for condiments. Bring your own hot sauce, I recommend Palo Alto firefighter hot sauce. Coupa could be sooo much better here. Service is terrible, but the food is good. Each time I have visited always greeted with rudeness. They never say thank you, but only to a certain race, while you seem them treat other race if people with respect. I am never rude, but always say thank you after service. The lady said, you see I am busy counting money when confronted about her disrespect. She clearly saw me standing there and went about her business. I am sadden that there is so much attitude and disrespect for no reason, which makes me think it's my skin color 🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️. They don't deserve our money if they are going to be rude.
