Perched right on the Main Street of Panguitch, Utah, The Flying Goat Cafe offers a delightful pit stop with a dollop of quirky charm for those on their travels. We chanced upon this café while heading home from Lake Powell and were immediately drawn to its fun, offbeat aura.

In true small-town fashion, the cafe is adorned with an indoor "stuffed animal goat farm". And here's the amusing catch - lay a finger on any one of them, and you've "adopted" it and must buy it! This quirky little detail certainly adds a distinctive touch, making the place all the more memorable.

The tempo of service is unhurried, like a leisurely stroll down memory lane. While some might find this slow, we found it rather charming, adding to the laid-back, throwback atmosphere. But fair warning - if you're in a rush, this might not be your ideal spot.

Now, let's talk about their food. Their fries deserve a special mention - they are perfectly breaded, delivering a delightful crunch with every bite. While their burger was average, it came in just right for our much-needed lunch break. However, the star of the show was their BLT, where the bacon was crisp to perfection, making it a standout choice for your meal.

As for the amenities, the café has clean bathrooms, though they are single occupancy. So during peak times, you may have to wait a bit, as we did. But this small-town cafe's charm more than compensates for such minor inconveniences.

In conclusion, the Flying Goat Cafe is a quaint and charming spot that offers a unique dining experience filled with fun surprises. So, if you're passing through Panguitch, do drop in for their amazing breaded fries and the perfectly crisped BLT, all while soaking in their distinctive, relaxed ambiance. And who knows, you might just end up adopting a...

This little restaurant is almost hidden. T he outside facade does not hint at how good the food is. We were camping at the Hitchin Post and saw the billboard, liked the name and wanted to try it. It was cold and rainy out, so husband ordered Hot Chocolate. It was steaming hot and tasted like real hot chocolate (not from an envelope) I ordered the Chicken Piccata. I love Veal Piccata and rarely order chicken, especially breast because it is usually to dry for me. Their Chicken Piccata was so tender with large plump breasts (2), plenty of sauce and capers. The mashed potatoes were real, and had real butter on top, melting. I will definitely get this again. Husband ordered the Rib Eye. It was cooked to order, unfortunately the seasoning was a little too different for him, so he was not as thrilled with his order. Still he said it was a tender, and a large portion. The seating would be better if they had booths, but maybe because it is a narrow, long restaurant, they have to use tables and chairs. Lots of desserts to take out or eat there. Our waitress kept our water glasses filled. Our food came out quickly, and hot. Think it’s a great little find in a small town. We went at 4:30 pm and had no wait, but by the time we left, their tables were filled, and...

Super friendly greeting as you walk in the door, you are met with smiles and sincerely great energy. I was not impressed with the decor, but so impressed with every item served that we plan on making it our go to stop when traveling through. Wonderful service!! I can’t say enough about how fresh and full the house salad was, even the fries were good, but the onion rings are the best ever!! A perfect beer batter fried to crispy perfection when you can bite through the softer onion inside, each bite is perfect!! Must try the onion rings!! Our French dip sandwiches were perfect too, roast beef and delicate cheese flavors were tasty on their own but of course the au ju was perfect again, perfectly balanced flavors. We were so impressed this little place that looks so humble and quirky inside is creating such delightfully tasty food, I couldn’t wait to share our experience. This is a place you won’t want to miss if you want a good meal, prepared to be amazed. It’s one hot spot we will absolutely be returning to. Great people! Who ever is doing the cooking and food prep needs to be commended. They are serving far better food the most the pricier food chains with similar...
