Old Farm House Tea Room — Restaurant in Paradise Township

I have been to this tea room a handful of times with my family members. The time before this most recent time, I had just went through the pain of losing my pregnancy back in September 2021. I went to tea with my family and left the house for the first time in months since losing my baby. I stood up at the end of the meal and the lady said "Oh look who's having a baby" in reference to my stomach. while that hurt and had me devastated with the memory of the fact that I was no longer carrying a baby, I brushed it off thinking well she's just a little old lady. Bringing us to today, my family and I once again went to have tea and when I stood up at the end of the meal to go pay, the same lady said "You either gained alot of weight from all that food or we are having a baby". I immediately burst into tears and had to give my card to my aunt so she could go pay my bill so I could leave the building. I am usually a pretty confident plus size woman, but to have this happen twice now from the same person is just hurtful. I'm sure they get all kinds of people in all shapes and sizes so why draw attention to a plus size woman. Nevermind the fact that there was another group in the same room having tea as well. So this other group witnessed all this being said to me. And all she had to say was "awww I embarrassed her".... No lady! You didn't embarrass me. You hurt my feelings. You brought hurtful attention to a belly that I have from my children and from being cut open to bring them into this world. You also reminded me of the pain I felt when I lost my baby a year ago. Next time, if you're going to run a business, maybe talk to your paying customers with a little...

I have been waiting to get into this tea house for a bit. It was so worth the wait! I was with my two daughters and my mother in law and from stepping inside we felt so welcome. There is so much to see inside.You will not be able to take it all in. If it was decorated for fall and it was absolutely gorgeous. The full tea was tremendous and the cost was the best. I have been to many many teahouses, now this is my favorite as of my first trip there. And unlike other tea, houses that I have been to, you will leave completely full. Don't forget to check out the shop next door with all the hand made sewing items, My daughter is crafty with sewing and knitting.And the lady at the shop was so kind to share experiences with her. So if you have never been make sure you make your reservations in advance, you will need to. Don't forget there is a shop in the tea house that sells homemade cookies, cookies and pickled beats and pickles.And homemade jellies and jams, At such a cost I will definitely be going over and shopping for...

My Mom and I have been here many times together as well as bringing other’s along, too. I remember when I was a little one; I would get so excited to come here and I still do! Sue & Hannah are a delight. They give amazing service, are all around kind-hearted ladies, the list goes on. The food is outstanding! I have trouble picking what flavor of tea to get since there are so many options and so good! You do have the option to change it up to try other flavors which is nice. You will never leave here with an empty tummy because they are very generous with food. Great prices and beautiul atmosphere, too. I love the gift shop she has set up as well. I have nothing but positive feedback about The Old Farm House Tea Room....
