Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Parsons

I'm kind of confused:

I ordered a double sundae & asked for 2 chicken sandwiches, the VERY nice lady explained that they were out but should get "truck" in tomorrow so I asked if they had chicken tenders, she happily responded that they did!

I told her that I would like the #9 & asked if it came with fries. She happily stated that it did, then asked me what kind of drink I would like with that. I could not find the drink list so she happily read off all of their drinks.

I got to the window: was handed my drink, waited a few minutes because they needed to add pecans to my sundae.

I didn't mind waiting for them to take the sundae back because I was still waiting for my food.

I was handed my sundae & thanked.

I continued to wait for my food, when the nice young lady opened the window & asked if she missed something - ? WHAT???...REALLY??? I thought to myself, didn't we JUST have an entire conversation about the chicken tenders order???

The young lady was VERY nice but I recently had a back injury & can not tolerate sitting in a vehicle for long & the more pain I'm in, the more my German Shepherd whimpers & gets nervous so we both needed to get home (across town).

The nice young lady did offer to charge me for the meal or put me in "the book" but I was hurting too much to wait & my medication was starting to kick in so I declined.

I'm not sure what "the book" is but she did try to...

Went there around 2pm. I bought 3 strawberry chrispy chicken salads that comes with a side of cottage cheese. So before we left, we noticed we did not have the cottage cheese. They lady was very apologetic and gave us our cottage cheese with no problem and very apologetic. We get home (not our house) there is no silverware in the bag, yea we could use their silverware but not the point. Also NO CHICKEN on the strawberry chicken salad!! We had to leave to get the chiceken... Again very apologetic but at this point in irritated cause my kids are upset. So fast forward 2 hrs... we went back to get ice cream. No wait, we got our order pretty quickly but then came in several families. There is only one guy working the ice cream for inside orders.. hes doing the best he can, there is a line of people, water running over where they rinse the spoons, candy all over the counter, ice cream running down his hands, and he's taking peoples payments (without washing hands in between orders). While this is going on, there has been 3 people come in from drive thru for there orders being messed up (I was only there like 20mins) I get it, people are human, understaffed but this isn't the first time...hope it gets better for the next time I come through... My boyfriend and I drove from Altamont to get icecream around 10pm. Braum's has always been my go to growing up, and I was visiting from college and wanted to visit (we don't have braum's where I go to college) We went in and the whole place was disgusting. There was icecream on every surface, bananas and other toppings scattered, trash was overflowing. Based on the cleanliness we decided to get the carton of icecream instead. We stood in front of register waiting for probably 10 min before anyone even acknowledged that we and some other customers were there. There were even fries and crushed cups on the front checkout.

I don't know what was going on. They were complaining about being understaffed and I understand. You have to work with what you have I guess, and the women working did not have any hustle in them for the work that needed done.

From what I saw, I'm assuming bad management. It's a shame to see this place go downhill, I won't be returning...
