Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in Pasadena

I come to this location a lot for about a year now and normally have a pleasant experience but today 11/04/2022 at 1:00 pm it was very unbelievable. I come to this location as I normally do and tried to order a drink that I normally order which is a hot latte made with sweet cream and was told I wasn’t able to get this drink because it would break the machine and I then went on to tell them I don’t understand I get this drink all the time and the manager then gets on the mic and says it’s not possible it will break the machine. I was very confused and wasn’t sure why they were being this way all of a sudden like I said I come here a lot but never again will I spend my money here. I watched them take a lady’s order who had many specialized drinks and then when it was my turn I’m told I’m going to break the machine. Very unbelievable I’m not sure if this was a race thing but I couldn’t understand why the Caucasian lady was able to order her drinks but me a black woman was told I would break the machine. I normally don’t go here bkuz it’s outta my way but when ever I’m on the fairmont side of Pasadena I prefer this Rhodes& fairmont parkway Starbucks. The 6 times I have visited here the coffee has been prefect and taste like they make the coffee with angels serving . I normally would go to the spencer & beltway 8 or the spencer and west side (worst starbuck ever) . Bkuz I live on that side of town and it’s on my way to work or to the dog park with my puppies and I need coffee to start my day. I will say to anyone who goes to Starbucks . Fairmont parkway has the best two stores but the Rhodes one is top tier and that’s no shade toward the Mikey gilley one they are good but not better then this one . Sorry Mikey gilley I love your baristas but these baristas have the better experience and like I said angels making coffee . From now on I think I will travel to y’all for my coffee even if I have to waste gas on Sundays for coffee . Cars encircled the building when pulled in. Was already running late, and it was raining, so I thought, I'll run in, it will be quicker. NOPE. I went in and there were 7 ppl working. I stood at the register where a gentleman making coffee made eye-contact w/ me 2xs, but said nothing. No one ever asked or mentioned not ringing orders up in the store or asked if they could help me. Five minutes I stood there trying to figure out what was going on. Then it dawned on me maybe they don't place orders in the store anymore, so I used the mobile app. Out of pure annoyance while my coffee was still being made, I thought I'd sit down no where near anyone and eat my egg bits while they were hot. I was quickly engaged at that point that I could not eat in the cafe. I'm fine w/ all that and even the line outside, but lack of customer service is unacceptable. They are normally very kind, prompt, smiling. Today must have been an "off" for at least 6 of them. Was thankful for the young man who delivered my coffee...
