Bill's Grill — Restaurant in Patrick

Loved it! It's genius, that they put together a compact menu so that everything is cooked fresh. I had a BLT and a small garden salad and iced tea. They cooked the bacon fresh for the sandwich, not reheated bacon that was cooked hours before, so the bacon was hot and crispy when it came to the table. And the sandwich had at least 8 pieces of bacon. The lettuce crisp and the tomato firm. A perfect BLT. The salad fixings were uber fresh. The lettuce was crispy with no wilt. The cucumbers cold and without bitterness, the tomatoes firm and crunchy. A perfect amount of shredded cheddar cheese. A simple salad done really well. The iced tea was amazing, not to sweet and no bite of bitter that tea sometimes gets. As a South Carolinian, a good glass of tea is a must. The service was impeccably friendly, our waitress very sweet and efficient. The cook obviously has a superpower of mastering the art of cooking! This was our first time dining there, but it won't be our last. On the way out another customer asked what the Sunday dinner was, it seems they do a different country cooking meal every Sunday. This isn't a testament to the food, though they have the BEST burger I have ever eaten. To keep it brief, I had some items for sale on marketplace and Chris Gainey, (the owner of bills )messaged me. Towards the end of the conversation he said to me " haven't seen your mom and you down at the restaurant in a while". I about fell out of my chair. I have not been down in six months or better. Understandably so being from the north we stick out a bit. Never in a million years did I think the owner of a restaurant would remember me, or my mother. That speaks VOLUMES. This restaurant is well worth any wait that may incur. The food is outstanding , welcoming small town atmosphere and they remember who you are!!! Go see these folks. It could be five mins or five years between visits. They going to welcome you...

Try to call in a order and was told to hold on. It would have took every bit 1 minute to take my order. Instead I was on hold for 19 minutes. I drove from cheraw to Patrick on hold. I walked in the restaurant still on hold. Yes the girl said she was sorry.......but with a attitude. When I asked for a discount...she replied seriously?. Umm yes seriously. I called to place an order, got put on hold, drove 20 mins on hold! Now if I give you my order , that's another 20 to 30 mins! Then the manager came over and said I'll give you a discount this time. And then he tells me , you should have hung up and called back. Ummm how was I suppose to do that when your phone would then be off the hook. So he didn't like what I said and in his nice way I guess you'd say . Literally told me...
