Red Pepper Grill — Restaurant in Patterson

I heard they were having shrimp night. I like shrimp, I know the owners of this place, I've eaten there before. How could I go wrong? I didn't. I ordered ahead, got in the car with the wife, and headed over. They had it hot and ready when we walked in the door. We sat down, spread the meal out on the table, and tore into it. Thirty minutes later we got back into the car and headed home, fully satisfied. I have a couple other "favorite" restaurants, but I have yet to be served, finish eating, and leave so satisfied in so short a time. The shrimp and everything else was just as I wished for. But so has been everything else I've eaten there: ribs, pulled pork, whatever. The place is small and stuck on a tight corner in a small town but well worth the drive and effort. They would not pick up the phone after 7 calls on 9-24-22 at 3.05pm, still had 55 minutes before closing. So I used their online order app, and ordered a pizza. The last one was not very good but figured, 1 more shot. Ordered it and 1 minute later it got canceled by RP. So I drove up to the RP and walked in. 2 employees walked by and neither asked, can I help you! We waited 10 minutes for help to order, finally walked out to go spend my money else where. As an assistant my day consisted of getting lunch for her install crew of four. I ordered the Ribs, Brisket, And Chicken. However, due to the crews overwhelming response to the taste of the food it made me go back and order some food for myself. And I have to say, this is the best tasting, best cooked barbecue I’ve tasted in years. You’d be very Happy to stop in here and grab a bite! And the customer service was awesome, very helpful as I was deciding dinners for the crew. I will visit this place again for sure, even if I have to make an intentional drive from Jacksonville.
