My wife and I visited this place for the first time. There are not a lot of tables in the place and a lot of space between them. We were invited to sit, later they told us the table was reserved, but later they told us (again) that we don’t have to move. They apologized for the misunderstanding. Other than that moment, everything else was good. The food was good, the service, the wine and the salad. I got the pasta with scallops and I liked it. The prices were aceptable as well. No complaints on that. If I am around, I will visit again. Salute!

Yes, the place needs updating, but Lake Wallenpaupack is right outside the window. The red pepper appetizer was different and tasty. I enjoyed the Penne ala Vodka, and my friend said the Veal Parm easily passed her "restaurant test". We both agreed the sauces were delicious and portions plentiful. As you can see, we left no crumb behind and took home enough for two more meals - always a plus. Service was terrific: instantly greeted at the door, waitress very attentive, pleasant and helpful. Easy to see why this place has been around for decades.

I would recommend this place. Hands down top 3 best margaritas in the world the bartender made with lime in it. We started off with italian clams. It was amazing. The sauce was so good i kept dipping the bread in there sauce to eat it. I had lasagna. It was good but it had a small taste of sweetness. Some may like it and some don’t. My fiance had sea scallop with linguine in a garlic broth. It was good as well

As a disclaimer - the one star is related only to the treatment of this establishment as a restaurant. My understanding is this is an excellent local dive bar with great margaritas- allegedly because they use limes (see earlier reviews).

Restaurant wise - this eating, or rather existing, at Capri is like one long Nathan for you skit. It took about two hours to be served overpriced Costco pre made vodka sauce on penne, or overcooked somehow cinnamon tasting chicken Parmesan. The bread is heated up white bread from a package. And the salad is really a few pieces of lettuce with two delicate drops of some ranch like sauce.

All of that in mind, the waitresses were lovely, and used the trapped and hungry customers as a perhaps unwilling practice audience for their moonlighting stand up routines. To be fair - we overall had a blast, once we realized we were not at a restaurant but at the mercy of some lake sprites preying on out of towners.

While I would never recommend this place to a friend (perhaps an enemy), I am thankful for this evening, as it provided an excellent story to tell to friends...

When we got there we did not have a reservation so they said instead of sitting by a window we could have a hightable or there would be a wait so we agreed. The waitress came and took our drink orders, then came back and took our appetizer order which took forever to cone out. We only had two appetizers 1 order of mozzarella sticks and eggplant parm. They were both very good. While eating appetizers the waitress took our food order about an hour later our food came out. We didn't order anything crazy just 2 Chicken Parn, 1 stuffed Flounder and 3 penne Ala vodka. The waitress was very apologetic as it was not her fault. At the end she took all the drinks off the bill and gave us 3 pieces of cake on the house. She had asked if her manager came over to talk to us we told her no and she said he is going to. Which he never did. In the end they did the right thing but for what we got it should not have taken us 2 1/2 hours to eat dinner. If the food wasn't good we would never go back but because the food was good we will definitely give it...

Updating my review since our visit last weekend. Went there on a busy night and had a short 10 to 15 minute wait for a table. Restaurant was about 75% full but several tables were leaving. We were seated with a table of 8 and served our the drinks relatively promptly. We placed our orders and then waited approximately an hour and a 1/2 to get our food. Even bread took 45 mins. to hit the table. Seems excessive even for a busy night and we were not offered an apology, warning or explanation. A group of 3 sat at the bar and were served promptly. They were finished with their meals before ours arrived. I lost my appetite and left, visiting with friends at the campground and had my food wrapped. Very disappointing and food this night was just average. No explanation for this other than understaffed kitchen which on a holiday weekend should be prepared. Normally enjoy it but this was a major turn off and will reconsider coming back after a cool off period. We live close by and frequent the place so we expected better or at...
