Bad Brad's Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Pawhuska

Stopped by this gem after a day in the Tallgrass Prairie Reserve. The food was phenomenal! I had their melt-in-your-mouth pulled pork bbq sandwich, with a sweet and savory sauce that complimented the smoked pork. Fried ocra and house-made potatoe salad were the perfect pair to the sandwich. Finished with a glass of sweet tea (sweet like Grandma makes) and dined outside under a canopy of trees. The food, though delicious, was second only to their service. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and punctual with service. Prices were more than fair for a relaxing afternoon with an excellent lunch. We arrived excited because my lady had been there previously and liked it. It appears the quality and service has gone downhill since then. The portions were minuscule and the meat was cold.

Our waitress made it clear through her words and actions that we were pests, not guests. Our first mistake was sitting outside because she had to open the door and come out to us to do her job. Ordered 2, two meat plates to go. Brisket, ribs and pulled pork were very good. Whoever smokes there meat knows what there doing. Customer service was great. But, the entirety of each order was put in one small to go box. So the proportions of the sides were small. Coleslaw was in the box so it was warm. Fries were not seasoned at all. One small cup of bbq sauce was put in only one of the boxes. The silverware packs they have us were opened with pieces missing. And the bread served with the meal was store bought...
