Great local place to get extremely good food, friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. Chad and Cindy do a great job organizing the crew and working just as hard as the crew does to see the business succeed.
Lots of people frequent here quite often I know some folks that eat there almost every day. I don't remember ever having bad food, but I do remember having excellent service about every time.
One of my favorites is the grilled chicken dinner. I usually get it with the grilled onions and fried okra on the side with a salad bar as well. My wife gets the BLT with fries usually and our kids usually get a corn dog and some fries with cheese and bacon on them. My parents usually get the buffet especially on Sunday when they have it with steak. They'll even cook your steak to order if you ask nicely.
Their desserts are pretty ridiculous. We really enjoy the Toll House cookie pie, and the coconut cream pie. The blackout cake is good, but everything else is really good as well including their cobblers.
The only quote on quote bad thing I could say is every once in awhile the water is not good, which is not the business's fault, but more on where we get the water from. Because it's a city-wide thing not just a individual business or residents thing.
Although the servers do cycle quite often, we have never had bad service and can honestly say we have excellent service every single time. So thankful for this business and that they are remaining in business. And they even draw in folks from other states around us let alone other parts of the country. Word gets out very well about how good this business...
Read moreI love the look of the inside, they were busy when we got there today. Probably because it is Sunday after church and we got there right at lunch. We were surprised that they were serving a buffet which is a good surprise cause we like a buffet than single orders. I like the taste of the steak although it is kind of tough but the taste was pretty good. The mashed potatoes are our favorite, tasted and looked like it was made from scratch and not the boxed mashed potato powder. The fried chicken was okay. The cherry cobbler was pretty good not so sweet I like it better than the Peach cobbler. Their soup tasted odd to us. It didn’t taste anything at all but salty and “floury” and it was cold. I ordered coffee but I wasn’t offered creamer so I had to ask the other server to give me some cause our server was so busy. I also wanted hot sauce but she did not ask if there was anything else we needed, she came back by our table multiple times but quickly just to see if there were plates to pick up, I wish she would have asked if there was anything we needed. Their bread was really good, I had to ask for another serving cause they gave you two breads since we were two people at our table but the bread was small so I wanted more plus it was pretty good. We will eat there again if we are in the area. Today we traveled intentionally to eat there. The price was good too and that is surprising cause we were a little worried cause the name of the restaurant says “Clicks Steakhouse” For me when it says “Steakhouse” that...
Read moreI have enjoyed some good meals here in the past, but this restaurant has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. I have also referred others there, but I can no longer do that in good concience. My last trip, my steak was not up to par, but I figured anyone could have an off night. However, after again driving over an hour to get there for this visit, I was served possibly the worst steak I have ever (partially) eaten. I ordered the large porterhouse, a steak listed at 24 oz of seasoned/marinated filet and sirloin steak. If that number was accurate, I would guess my steak was served with no less than 10+ oz of pure fat. I am aware that there are individuals who consume hunks of fat and enjoy it, but I absolutely am not one of those. I prefer a well-trimmed steak, appropriately aged and seasoned. Once I trimmed off 40% of the surface area, I started on the steak. It was very tough. Worse, it was absolutely drenched in marinade, with the marinade juices dripping on the plate. While I enjoyed a light marinade on previous occasions, the marinade was the only flavor I could taste. I was almost choking on it. I know their forte is to cut lesser quality steaks and break them down with aging and their secret marinade to make them tender, it hasn't worked out for me and, in fact, has ruined my meals. I was with other person's each time, so I didn't feel I could complain. So thx for the memories and I hope you can stock up on better cuts of meat once the pandemic is essentially over. I won't...
