Passing through Payensville we had a case of the hangries. I got the BLT (and it was yum) but the homemade chicken noodle soup stole the show. This is the best I've had in decades. So good I knew I had to buy some to take home before we left or I'd regret it later. Big thick homemade noodles. Lots of carrot and celery. Delicious broth. And plenty of chicken too. (*if you're on a low sodium diet choose something else)

Proportions and ingredient quality is good. Their burgers are 1/2 pounders so the price seems high before you factor that in. If they could come down a dollar or two on some of the meals it would be better. But I have to say I left feeling satisfied with my meal for the price (I did choose a lower priced meal). First of all the food and service was good. When my husband and I went in we went to the left and sat in the second booth by the window and there was a smell of gas. Even my husband with a not so good sense of smell could smell it. I told the waitress and she dismissed it saying she didn't smell anything. After eating I went and used the ladies room and couldn't smell anything in there. Walking back to the booth I could smell the very strong smell of gas. When I mentioned it up at the register with the same waitress again she said she has worked there 6 years and never smelled it..??? My family and I went to the thanksgiving lunch let’s just say this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had as the waitress was arguing with me over my kid eating because he had a PLATE in front of him that I ate. Then the owner said he will not honor a price that someone said over the phone (then don’t say that price over the phone). As I was leaving with my kids the owner was STARING at me with a mean look.
