Firehouse Coffee Company & Salon 227 — Restaurant in Paynesville

The owner of this business haunted me down in the parking lot in freezing temperatures to express her egotistical offended feelings because I expressed to her employee very quietly and politely I was grateful for her serving me because the owner gives you attitude every time you want something done specific to your drink or food and makes you uncomfortable to ask for what you want in her business and I asked for the oat milk to be shaken so my daughter's coffee wasn't chunky. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional business owner as I did today I will never support this business again. After posting my experience on a social media site I had over 20 people within 10 minutes reach out to me expressing the same feelings about this woman and her business as I had it is sad that we have people like this representing businesses in our small town that's barely Staying Alive as it is. When you read this you should probably really reflect on yourself and do better never again should you do that to a customer you should be ashamed...

I wanted to love this place as it's got great reviews but I ordered 2 lattes and they both tasted very weak, like hot water with steamed milk. My wife and I both questioned if there was any coffee in the latte as we couldn't taste it. I called and was told it wasn't just a one-off, that that was how it is. Disappointing to pay a premium for a latte and not be able to taste the coffee then get the oh well response. Contrast to our regular coffee shop just outside the cities thats always excellent and my wife's latte tasted slightly off recently. My wife still left a 5 star but with that feedback saying it tasted off, they gave a $5 credit unexpectedly as it turned out it was a bad batch of beans and they appreciated her saying something. I hate leaving bad reviews but I'm shocked to order 2 coffees and not taste the coffee nor get any resolution. Just fyi if you're looking for a good latte I suggest...

Amazing coffee shop to stop in and grab a cup of coffee. Really nice decor. Love stopping in and supporting small businesses I highly suggest stopping in and checking it out if you have not already much prefer going here then to the gas station or the bigger coffee chains. Really nice small town vibe. Really nice staff despite me going in and never knowing what I'm going to get because of the choices and flavors. Will always stop...
