I wanted to put down a review of the best Chinese style take-out I have ever had. This is not my first or second time eating Su Chang's, but the food has been so consistently delicious and plentiful over the years that I wanted to acknowledge this! I tend to order the same things, so this time we ordered quite a bit so that we could properly review different types of food and also to see what else was tasty! I have included a lot of pictures of the food straight from the box before we even took them out of the take out dishes. Once again, Su Chang's hit it out of the ballpark. Every single thing we ordered was HOT, delicious, and plentiful! We had to drive 20 or so minutes to get home, but the food in the box was still so hot that I had to use hot pads on the table just to photograph it. Excellent job of keeping the food hot and fresh! We ordered the following: Spring Rolls (AMAZING!) Vegetable fried rice Shrimp fried rice General Gao's Chicken Sweet & Sour Chicken Beef and Broccoli (to die for!) Chicken Lo Mein This came with two 1lb plastic tubs of sweet & sour sauce, two smaller tubs of hot mustard and a plethora of fortune cookies (yum!), soy sauce, etc. All of this together cost just over $100, but there is a LOT of food! The spring rolls are large, crisp and delicious. They go well with the sweet and sour sauce (with a pinch of the hot mustard mixed in!). One of the best spring rolls I have ever had. The General Gao's was understated and so goooood! Just enough sauce to stick to the breaded chicken and not overwhelm it. Not overly spicy, but does have a delicious, tangy zip to it. The Sweet & Sour chicken was breaded with a different sweet and sour sauce. It was sweet and tangy with veggies and pineapple chunks. Beef and broccoli was to die for. The beef melted in my mouth and the broccoli was perfectly cooked. The sauce covered both and is very close to becoming my new favorite! I have never had this before! So good! The Chicken Lo Mein was full of plump noodles, chicken and veggies. Very tasty! I have never had this either. it was not my favorite of all of the meals, but it was very very good! (Honestly, everything had a difficult time standing up to the beef and broccoli!) My husband prefers shrimp fried rice, but I love the veggie fried rice. It goes with anything you put it with and we appreciate that there is so much of it! I like to mix the sweet and sour sauce with a bit of hot mustard and mix it into the rice. That has a wonderful taste as well. They now pack it into a larger black food dish instead of the chinese take out boxes like they used to use a couple of years ago, so there is more in the portions. The fried rice (of any type and they have 4 or 5 kinds?) is really really good! Make sure you get some of this! We ordered all of this food around 1pm today and were told, "Okay, it will be ready in 10 minutes!" We had to let them know it would take longer for us to get there. Honestly, this delicous meal would have been ready in a quicker amount of time than going to a local fast food restaurant. It's hard to believe that they can make some thing this wonderful in such a short time period. Kudos to everyone at the restaurant for such a wonderful meal! I miss the dine-in experience with going to Su Chang's, but the tables are a bit too close together inside and it feels a bit too tight for me to relax, but their take-out service is so delicious, I do not feel that I am missing out. Do yourself a favor and try it! You will not be sorry. The food is amazing!

I've been here a few times, all pretty much average as far as I'm concerned. This time was the last time I'm going here! When home upon opening the food I saw that it was not what I ordered, even though the nice lady at the front desk repeated my name back when giving me the order. So as far as service, 4 stars ๐ŸŒŸ ๐Ÿ˜ I also received a couple of items that are fried/crispy by nature, but they were tied up inside small plastic bags- which made them something I wouldn't eat. I tried the food that I received, and it fit the same "average" at-best pattern as the few times I've tried them before. The fried rice is the most tired, boring, plain fried rice I have ever had, the spicy chicken was just drowned in an artificially sweet tasting canned or jarred shelf sauce as far as I'm concerned! The spring roll tasted halfway decent....... would maybe have been the only thing I ate if it wasn't that it was wrapped in the plastic bag- effectively steaming the crispy item into slop!! The other fried/crispy item that I received (NOT ordered item again) was also tied up in a baggie, steamed to slop as well!!!! Lazy, unmanaged, short-cut loving kitchen staff is how things tasted to me, as I thought should I mention this........ then I thought the best way to help everyone else, is to just throw the food out, cut my losses, investigate other options- and make a detailed review!!!! ๐Ÿ‘

Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. We ordered the platter for 2. The steak and chicken teriyaki were over cooked and dry. Crab Rangoon was small and had very little filling/ dry . Chicken Lo Mein was excellent. The individual meals looked great (observed surrounding tables). I would not recommend the pu pu platter. Itโ€™s obvious they reheat and donโ€™t cooked the appetizers fresh per order. All items were very oily. Our waiter was nice but clueless. We returned 95% of what we ordered. He asked how everything was because of how much we did not eat. We showed him how overcooked everything was. No apology or action taken after bringing t it to his attention. We only ate the lo mein. We paid the bill in full and tipped 20%. We are not the type to complain but we will not go back nor recommend it to others. We moved..20 years ago the food was incredible! Sadly it appears that impression is no longer. Left disappointed.

If there was an option to give this place zero stars, we would have done it. The dine-in environment was so hostile, that the more we sat there, the more uncomfortable we were. Walking into a restaurant is an opportunity for workers to start a conversation and set a quick and easygoing mood. There was no such thing at this restaurant. It was clear that there were regulars, and that the establishment should have had a "regulars only" sign. The servers stared and never spoke to the customers unless it was about the arrival of food or the check. I would keep this short but there is no way I can. Our party consisted of 3 people of color, and we were regarded as if we were zoo animals. They stared at my brother in law (who is 14) as if he was dangerous. Staring at anyone is rude, and it is despicable within the service industry. 2/3 of us may have been semi- racially ambiguous but the servers automatically alienated us. I know the restaurant industry very well, and I know of common mistreatment. I would have loved to tip and speak nicely of these people, but if I did I'd be lying about my experience. The inside is blank and barren, and it's almost like a metaphor for the blank and negative perspective of the workers there. Our food came fast, and the flavor combinations were terrible. Our favorite things that could be called edible were the water and the rice. By the end of eating maybe 1/4 of what we ordered, all 3 of us felt sick. I was actually worried about bringing food home, and felt too uncomfortable to ask where the bathroom was. Some people are saying that the food used to be inexpensive, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 1 side cost us about $50. Horrific. All in all, we were all quite disappointed. Please save yourself the time and the comfort by never going to this restaurant. If I can prevent anyone else from having this experience, I'd feel better about the...
