If you want a New York Tasting Menu type experience, without the drive or paying the price, Ninety Acres at Natirar is perfect.

Having dined at Per Se, Cafe Boulud and 11 Madison Park, Ninety Acres is able to capture that experience in a more intimate setting. This is not to say that the experience at aforementioned isn't exquisite (because they are amazing places to dine.) but Nintey Acres is comparable to a point.

You arrive to Valet service only, which helps to build the mystique of the restaurant. Dress code of Business casual helps to keep the elegance of the restaurant. While a reservation isn't required, it's strongly recommended as on the weekends they will be busy enough for no walk ins. You have your choice of Tasting Menu in the kitchen area (reservation almost always required) or regular menu and table service.

The moment you step in, you can see how well designed the restaurant is. It's open and spacious. It has a classy, modern design to the decor. Welcome staff is cordial and helpful. There is a nice bar you can wait at, while they prepare your table with many different types of Beers (local, national and foreign) and Wine. A pared down menu is available at the bar if you are hungry and need to snack.

I have twice done the tasting menu and the rest of my review is based on this.

For Tasting Menu, you are seated at either a table or booth. Either gives you ample space to operate, though the booth has a more elegant feel to it.

The Wait staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They also have a Sommelier who chooses the wine pairing service for the tasting menu or is there to help choose the right bottle for your entire service. They are patient, attentive and helpful. Making sure to clean off the table between plates and make sure that all your drinks or bread are ready for your consumption. The level at service isn't quite at the level of Per Se or 11 Madison Park (as at those locations, you are waited on essentially hand and foot), but it's still above most other venues which compare in price.

The food that Chef David prepares is creative, delicious and well plated. His understanding of taste balance is impeccable. lastly his delivery and cordiality makes the whole affair worth it's price. They make sure to get any allergies or food requirements out of the way at the beginning of service and provide a memorable experience, even for the seasoned foodie. In terms of taste, each course is perfectly prepared and helps lead to the next dish. When done with the wine pairing, it really gives you quite a memory.

Each night is a unique experience in terms of menu, so it's impossible to say how yours will be, but they usually try to bring you something that you will enjoy. If you don't enjoy it, they will gladly bring you out something else to appease your taste pallet.

So overall, I highly recommend this place. With Alcohol, you will be spending anywhere from 150 to 300 dollars a person on average. So it is a bit pricey. however it makes for a wonderful romantic dinner or celebratory dinner if you...

I had my wedding at 90 acres. The site is beautiful but the Natirar team could not be more disorganized. They double booked the venue and put in 80 meals at the same time (plus the normal restaurant staff). The months leading up to the event were pure chaos. They fired the event sales planner three weeks before my wedding (we were not notified by the venue until a week after). Her communication was terrible- tons of over promising and under delivering. For example, we were promised the upstairs room to change and get ready at the restaurant - they double booked it for the groom at the mansion. At one point a family member from the grooms wedding was in the room with us.. I had no idea who she was and I had to ask her to leave so I could change into my dress. I rushed to get dressed and the venue lost some of our stuff in the process. My mother in laws Louis Vuitton bag was left on the floor in front of the downstairs bathrooms. The grooms entire suit went missing. The dinner came out at 8:10pm when we were scheduled to have the room until 8:30. Cake was rushed, no coffee service, no steak knives for the steaks served. My father in laws steak was undercooked. It went back to the kitchen to be cooked further and he took one bite before going to the restroom. The staff was in such a rush to clean the tables that they removed his steak before he could finish it. We actually don’t think the vendors got their meals. The new sales director Kelly emailed me the day of the wedding at 11:30am (while I was in hair and makeup) to get me to pay my bill that was already paid. They don’t tell you that if it rains you have to use their vendor only for tents (these people don’t even work with Natirar that often) and their fee is $10,000. Three days beforehand the sales coordinator Melissa was telling us we needed a permit for the tent, but no one notified us before.

Sarah was only there for two weeks and was the most competent person there. She stands out as different from the rest. The management of this venue is terrible. Alexandra the sommelier was incredibly responsive and super helpful. Everytime we emailed or contacted Melissa, Nicole, or Kelly we had to email multiple times to get answers to our questions.. the majority of the time they were out of office.

I am super disappointed in the execution of my event. If it weren't for my amazing vendors, the night would have been terrible. Natirar is unreliable and needs to get their management team together before they try to keep hosting weddings. They advertise as this elaborate and well coordinated venue, but they certainly are not. The contract is digital, which can be changed or altered at their convenience. The sales team doesn't pass you to the general manager who should be in contact with you prior to the event. Overall, I would pick another venue to have hosted my wedding. Everything about it...

This review deals less with the food, which is not as excellent as the prices would suggest. After arriving and 'enjoying' the mandatory valet service, we were seated in a very loud dining hall. There is a 'smart business casual' dress code, meaning no shorts and T-shirts. The atmosphere; however, is more like a beer hall or large sports bar. The tall ceilings and brick wall reflect all noise, and It is impossible to have a normal conversation or to even understand the waitresses. This totally destroys anything close to a romantic dinner feeling, and generated unrest. We noticed that people left immediately when finished with their dinner. We also appreciated the peace and quiet when leaving the restaurant. The service staff buzzes around endlessly, which adds to a hectic atmosphere. We were served by at least 2-3 waitresses, who unfortunately failed to coordinate properly. As a result, our main courses were not fired once the appetizers were taken off the table. Two different waitresses took our orders. A third one refilled the water glasses. During our appetizers, we were asked at least 4-5 times whether all was to our likings. Once the plates were taken away, NOTHING happened anymore for the next 30 minutes. Only the water refilling waitress stopped by the moment one inch worth of water was missing from the glasses. Finally, the waitress taking our main course orders stopped by, and mentioned that she realized that it has been a while now (note that she served the neighbors their mains, although they were seated 20 minutes after us). She appeared with the manager, and they promised that our food would be out within 5 minutes. We eventually had our food after a total of 45 minutes. By then, my wife's birthday dinner was ruined. We weren't hungry anymore, and asked for our food to be packed. Btw, the burger I had was on the smallish side and was fried in bacon fat, and a overwhelming smoked bacon flavor overwhelmed the dry aged beef flavors completely. Other than the patty, the burger only contained a slice of cheese and a few fried onion rings (not much else on the side). Afterwards, we again had to listen to explanations and apologies. They insisted on serving my wife a birthday dessert, and we politely stayed, although we were uncomfortable from the noise and the experience. The dessert was a self-made mint ice cream made with fresh plants. My wife hates mint ice cream, so I ate some of it. The clear note of grassiness coming from the fresh mint made it taste a bit odd, and there was too much mint present, which gave it a toothpaste flavor. Finally, the manager gave us our meals for free, which was a nice gesture. Otherwise, this would have been a 2...
