What can I say about this place that's bad??? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! Hands down, some of the best hard-packed ice cream on the South Shore. The flavor combinations are vast, the place is family owned and run, and the service is fantastic. They screwed up an order ONE TIME in about 8 years of my haunting the place, and they IMMEDIATELY made it right, without batting an eye....AND, they offered the mistaken order free of charge, so I got twice the ice cream coma that time! If you're on the South Shore, or wherever for that matter...get your carcass to Dairy Twist. They also do a wicked soft serve (I'm told, as I've never been a soft serve fan), for those of you who are enthusiasts of such things. It's totally worth the drive. It's also a cash-only establishment, so come ready. My family of four indulges for about 25 bucks with tip...you can't go wrong...

Can't say enough good things about DT. I've been coming since the 90s, and while prices of course have risen, portion sizes are as big as they always were. The ice cream itself is always fantastic; an orange creamsicle twist with rainbow sprinkles is all anyone should need in life. I've never had soft serve anywhere else that even comes close. They have so many flavors (especially of hard serve) and I'm not ashamed to say I've never tried 95% of them because the orange creamsicle is just that good! (side note: do you guys make your own bases?)

Lines can get crazy just after dinnertime, so be prepared, but it's worth the wait. Or, just come in the afternoon. And then come back again tomorrow. You...

We absolutely love Dairy Twist! The new owners have poured their hearts into improving each year and continue to blow my mind with the new creative ideas they are implementing. The staff is always helpful and as a former soft serve server (way back in the day 😀) I appreciate that even with the longest lines they still are ready with a smile.

When it comes to the actual ice cream, the selection is ridiculously good and there truly is something for everyone (sugar free, gluten free cones, vegan…etc). Oh and something for the pups as well, can’t forget a Pup cup for your...
