Bobbers Grill — Restaurant in Penn Township

We ate inside the bar and grill on a Sunday afternoon. We were with a group of friends (about 9 of us plus 3 toddlers) and were in and out in roughly an hour. We enjoyed our food and drinks and paid before leaving to go play volleyball outside. Everyone paid and tipped with cards except one friend who left cash. After roughly five minutes of volleyball outside, a staff member who was not our waitress came outside and confronted us in front of all of the other customers about the tips we had left, saying that one person had a 100 dollar check and did not tip. Thinking she was talking about me, I let her know that I tipped more than 10 percent and that’s how my bill came out to 100. This staff member then stated that was not a large enough tip regardless. The person she was actually talking about had tipped the waitress with cash, and spoke up to this staff member, and the staff member continued to argue. Other people in the group left over 20 percent for their tips, but regardless this was very unprofessional, and was done with a manager working inside at the time. Our group felt humiliated and...

Went for dinner this past summer with another couple to have something light and a few beers. Two of us ate basic sandwiches, while our wives ordered themselves mini pizzas. The sandwiches were fair - nothing fantastic. We received the sandwiches first, then waited more than an hour for the mini pizzas. An hour+ for mini pizzas? The server told us since they were busy and only one small oven, many people had ordered these mini pizzas... I spoke to the owner about the problem, who was a woman there at the restaurant. Her response was "there's nothing I can do". I responded she was the owner... and there was nothing she could do? Her response was "yup". I've been in the service industry 35 years. I wasn't looking for free meals... maybe a discount and a simple apology - but couldn't even get that. Worst example of service I've seen in years. We came from bohemie beach to grab some food and didn’t bring our shirts. They told us we couldn’t eat inside so we stayed outside and had them bring us a menu. After ordering food the owner(we didn’t know who she was at this point) came outside and started chirping me and my friend about not bringing a shirt. We asked if they had an extra laying around(still not knowing she was an owner). She told us $30 and found it pretty hysterical. My buddy called her a Karen. After that we were asked to leave with no refund(we finally got she owned it). Maybe we should have brought shirts, maybe we could’ve stayed quiet. Just wasn’t impressed she had to say something and found it funny we would have to spend more money. Some may enjoy being treated like that,...
