The Chili House — Restaurant in Pennington

I've eaten here twice, both times gotten a burger, which was huge and phenomenal both times, hand pattied, seasoned and cooked perfectly. It's definitely not McDonald's. It was difficult to eat on the move, so I'd plan on eating there. Service was outstanding both times, only reason for a 4 star on service was that they cook to order, so if you're in a rush, call 15-20 minutes ahead to place your order unless you're getting the hot bar, which they will serve you up and you're ready to go. Atmosphere is quaint, no TV's or music (only reason for 3 star on atmosphere), staff is extremely friendly and restaurantis very clean. Overall, it is a very good restaurant. It's a very busy place, especially at lunch so parking can be an issue if hit at peak time but I would definitely stop by, without hesitation, if you're close by and...

This place helps put Alabama on the map when it comes to the best eating in the nation. Right up there with Chicago and Texas. This little unassuming place is worth traveling to.
