Update: this place has gone from 5 stars to 1. Today the pizza for carryout was ice cold even though I was there early. It was tough and hard and there was absolutely no sauce on it or flavor. We also ordered mushrooms which were greasy but fairly good. The cheese curds were little puffs of oil and cheap cheese. The total foe this mess was almost 80 dollars. We threw the pizza out; it was that bad. Never again.

Update:the rating foes up a little for good fries and some menu items. However, a few months ago this would habe been foce stars and has gone back down. The seasoning they add to the haystack onion rings that make them intolerable, especially with the amount of grease. I asked they not use ru on the cod amd it was good. They got rid of some goodnitems like the grouper and halibut.

Update! Down from 4 stars to what I would rather be zero. This place was so good a few months ago and has been going down. The haystack onion rings were horrific. It seems as though they had packets of dry ranch dressing amd a ton of season salt added. They were so bad i gagged and we threw them out. The hamburger was fine. The chicken wrap was drenched in fake smoke flavor, like somebody dumped a bottle of dry smoke seasoning on it. The fries that used to be so good now taste frozen and are soggy. The grouper po boy that also used to be amazing had fish that was so old and nasty that I'm sure it was well past an expiration date. While the service is good and the building nice, nothing makes up for just how disgusting the food got in a couple of months or how high the prices are for expired and nasty food. This is a real shame.

Old review, !would rather give this place 3 stars but the service and atmosphere are everything here. Pizza n is good thin crust but very expensive. The fish is almost always over fried and reduced down to grease and breading. They have haddock and bluegill. The grouper poboy was amazing the first time I got it, bit was not good any time after. The fish was all breading and hard. Grilled fish would be better. The handout fries are good but undercooked most times. The haystack onion rings are also really good. If the cook was half as good as the waitstaff and would just adjust cooking tines a little, this place would...

While visiting the Peoria area for a funeral, we met with some family and a few friends to have a dinner on a Sunday night. The service was OK at first until we noticed that it was taking a long time to produce our order of two pizza's, a tenderloin and a few salads. You could tell the waitress was avoiding us and trying to not make eye contact. When we got her attention she indicated they were short on help and trying to get the order out however we noticed several tables that were seated after us were served first. The food then came out in various pieces. First to arrive was the tenderloin sandwich which was extremely overcooked (deep fried) and was difficult to even bite into. The salads had lettuce that was brown and barely any toppings. Last to arrive were the two pizza's which were average at best but most in the party were pretty tired from waiting so we had a few slices and packed up the rest (and threw away later that night).

However the kicker to the evening was when we went to pay the bill and I noticed that we had been charged $30/glass for merlot wine for a total of $60 for 2 glasses. As the wine was nothing special, a Berringer that retails for under $10 at most liquor stores. I certainly thought this was an error and so inquired with our waitress who quipped "I don't set the prices" and the bill was correct. Needless to say everyone was shocked and disappointed. We did not see (or ask) for a drink menu so not sure if prices were even posted but $30/glass is crazy high for wine.

There seemed to be no manager at the restaurant to talk too and we eventually paid the bill and left. We are not local to the area so will likely never return but our family and friends who are local and will likely not be back either.

Overall a very...

TLDR: Waited 1.75-hr for our pizza, it never came.

I don’t tend to write poor reviews, but I’m hoping to save some time for those of you considering stopping in. The service at this establishment is some of the worst I’ve ever received. They were off to a good start: our group of six placed a reservation, arrived on time, and were quickly seated. While five drinks came in a timely matter, one person had to wait half an hour for their beer (no big deal, mistakes happen). The appetizers arrived 30 minutes after putting our order in (a bit longer of a wait than I’d prefer, but they were busy and slow service is understandable). The appetizers were good, especially the onion strings (the only thing saving this from being a one-star review).

Things went awry when we then waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our pizzas to arrive. Everyone around us had came and went. At the hour and a half mark, our server came by for the first time to check if we needed any refills. She let us know the pizza would be a 10 minute wait. We waited 15 more minutes before asking for the check to pay for our apps and drinks. The pizzas never came and our server took the pizzas off our bill, blaming the high volume of carry-out orders for the delay.

This is the first time in my life I’ve left a restaurant before getting my dinner due to poor service. While the appetizers were good, they were hardly worth the 1.75-hour wait. Save your time and go somewhere else. There are far better...

Probably a 3 stars but I'll be nice. Somewhat busy Friday night. Seated promptly. Waitress took the drink order within 10 minutes. Turns out they only have canned soda. No free refills. That 25 cent can of soda is now $2. Plus $2 for each additional soda. 12 ounces, really? This isn't Europe. Ordered appetizers, a couple of pizzas and entrees. Appetizers arrived within the hour, but no silverware, napkins or plates. Some helper refilled waters, but waitress was nowhere to be seen. After another 5-10 minutes another employee (I think the hostess) brought plates. No silverware or napkins when asked. Two others including the waitress brought out the food with some confusion, but that happens. Tea and waters needed refilled, again, and time for another $2 soda. Asked again for silverware. Someone else, again I think the hostess, brought silverware and napkins. Food? Not bad. Why there were green peppers on my sausage pizza, who knows, but unacceptable. Otherwise, we all seemed to enjoy our food. Service? Even my 14 year old was doubting the capability of the staff. I probably undertipped by a few percent but it was deserved. Far too expensive to be given Little Ceasars service. Nice place, and will likely go again, but the service was mediocre at best.

We stop in here on a Saturday night with no reservation. We had a short wait (very reasonable) and got a great spot. The service was great, the food was excellent, good choices of drinks and various different kinds of foods (but I recommend the pizza). 🍕 Specifically, the Bourbon Mac pizza was fantastic. I had my fill and it passed the pizza test (the test being; how delicious is it great out the fridge first thing the next morning). I highly recommend if you’re in the area or a pizza connoisseur. 🍕
