I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was amazing! Prices were not too bad either! The Mac and cheese was the best ever! Overall a great experience and delicious food.
BREAKFAST: Don't do it. My son's milk had chunks, it was soured. The waitress said they just switched from Hiland milk to another brand and she opened the gallon of milk new like that, but then why did she still serve it??!
My french toast was black on the bottom and the top wasn't looking too great either.
My eggs Benedict was wrong. The ham was great, the only part I enjoyed... the eggs weren't cooked correctly as they didnt have any uncooked yoke left and there was still a lot of water inside them when put on my English muffin. And come on... it's time to throw the plate away that it was served on as there is a decent sized chip taken out of it.
My son's pancakes could have been cooked a little less too, they were rough and not soft, but they were ok. The spongey kind. His hashbrowns were not very good, but I'm picky about hashbrowns anyways. Then the eggs (scrambled) tasted a bit off, probably the soured milk that they most likely used to make them with.
I absolutely have loved their dinner food at Cafe 33, but I will definitely not go back for breakfast ever again. And I really think they should not even be open for breakfast, just stick to lunch and dinner. We should have just gone to McDonalds like the little man wanted! I promise it would have been better than our $20...
Read moreThis is not our first time here, but for me I'm done. However the dining experience went downhill very quickly. We ordered an appetizer and put in our order for 2 chicken sandwiches. The appetizer came out ok, but the wait for the rest of our order took over an hour actually more. The chicken was a too crunchy and dark. They serve it with no sauces, the waitress asked if we wanted mayo, no other choices, She brought back packages and tossed them on the table. That's it! Beyond that the side of carrots I asked for was what you call grilled carrots, however they were not cooked enough prior to being grilled obviously and had the worst nasty tasting char bits on them, not any seasonings at all, no salt or pepper and not a dash of ginger to flavor them, come on chef, is there a real chef who works here? If you're going to char up some raw carrots, learn to do it with flavor, first you precook carrots to slightly tender, and when you grill them use seasonings and don't forget the butter. I couldn't eat them and I like carrots. They really need to learn how to season, not char black, and get it together! Prices for lunch are not worth going here to begin with, no idea other than there are very few restaurants in Perkins why people put up with this place. Please The bathroom floor was soaking wet, I slipped just walking in the door what a mess. We paid right at $40 for this lunch and any chicken place would cost less and taste amazing compared to this. We should...
Read moreWe have been to this spot about 10 times it's about a 45 minute drive for us each way. The first two times were awesome and why we were willing to drive so far. The next time they showed open on the internet but were closed when we got there the next our waitress was nothing like the first two then they were closed again for the Superbowl but the Internet said open... Then we had a great experience the next couple of times the last time before today the staff was amazing my medium steak tho was almost raw the manager great guy noticed and took it back without me having to ask. It was returned and still undercooked which he offered to take it back again but I said it would be ok and ate it tastes despite the undercooking. Today the waitress tried to seat us at a small table I explained I have just had knee surgery and can't sit on the hard chair with my leg stuck into the isle. She said I don't know if we have a booth at the same time the other waitress is literally asking people that came after us if they want a booth or a table and seats then in a booth there was at least one other booth unoccupied but we would up leaving so we could find a place to eat without the hassle and discomfort....we really like eating here but it's becoming 50-50 on good or not so good experience ...still recommend you give it a try maybe your luck...
