My friend had told me of this place when their group from the office came to dine and had a terrific experience. So, I surprised that wonderful youngster to join me at this location.
Once we went through the door, the atmosphere was so welcoming, along with walking past the Mercantile and those sorbets near the cashier's counter. We were welcomed, greeted and shown to our seats. The lighting, the aroma, looking around at the other customers with their families, not to mention so many wonderful babies having a great time, was a pleasant experience for both of us.
The young lady who served us, Gabby, (like so many at these locations for very long hours) went far beyond expectations not only in her service to us and others, as I know all who work there does a wonderful job.
Our pizza was the Hawaiian Luau, which is usually not everyone's "cup of tea" but for the record, was the most delicious pizza we had had ever in any place!! (As I am writing this review, I just completed the last pieces from yesterday, after microwaving for only two minutes.) The thick crust was done to perfection and the pineapple was fresh, along with the other toppings served.
Since several pizza slices remained, we remembered, as we came in, staring and nearly drooling over the desserts including sorbet and other delicious delicacies (it's still allowed in most states), the one that we wanted to try was a slice of the chocolate cheesecake. That was, as the younger generation would refer to, "the bomb". My friend took a fork on one side, and I took the other and met in the middle. Each slice was smooth to just slowly take a small piece at a time and savor the moment.
As we were leaving, as a pianist/organist/keyboardist, I couldn't help but stare at the piano, so beautifully designed and built by Charles Walter (great pianos - top of the line), so with no pianist that evening, we asked for permission to sit down and try it out, playing one of my favorite songs, "Just the Way You Are" (Billy Joel - 1978). Beautiful tone and the sound is as close to a grand piano style, all built in a console model. This piano is loved and taken care of very well.
Needless to say, we will return to this place again very soon, as I hope ALL patrons or potential...
Read moreWalking in its a coffee shop in the front and pizza in the back. They had a some guys playing on a piano, drums and guitar that sounded like elevator music. Order food at 6:15pm and didn't receive it until 7:22pm. We did receive the cheese bread about 20 minutes after ordered was placed. The reason for 3 stars was service. We were sat in about 5 minutes of arriving. Got our drinks right away. The older waitress asked if we were ready to order. However this being the first time coming there we didn't know the menu. So we told we needed a few more minutes. She came back 2 minutes later. And then every 4 minutes after that. It does take my husband me some time to figure our order out since what he likes and what I like on pizza aren't the same. So after about 15 minutes we figure out what we want. She came back over on cue after 4 minutes. She told us we had to order or leave. We placed our order for a medium half and half pizza and some chessy bread. We were told that the bread comes with 2 free dipping sauces. If we want more they are fifty cents each. We tell her that we are good. Then she walks back to the kitchen and yells table 17 finally order. Cheapstakes want blah and blah. We had to have another waitress refill our sweet tea. Well when the cheesy bread came out it was good. However it was also filling and so we asked if we could get our pizza to go and a box for the rest of our cheesy bread. The waitress that was supposed to serving us replied no problem sorry its taking so long we are super busy. But I guess we can put it in a box since you are in a hurry. I told her we were just full but she said no one is full from just an appetizers. I asked for manager and she replied they don't have one. Once the pizza came out we paid. She told us after she ran the card not to come back if we were just going to take up time. I will try one more time but if customer service is still bad than I won't come back. However once again the...
