Came for a visit with family. My husband cannot have tomatoes, onions, or green peppers. After a discussion with our waiter about that, he ordered a chicken & shrimp dish. We were all surprised by the amount of those 3 diced ingredients in the dish. We talked to the waiter, again explaining the situation and ordered another dish when the dish arrived it had sliced red & green peppers. The waiter came over, we explained he cannot have peppers & we were not told the dish had peppers in it. The waiter develops an attitude, telling us they cannot change the menu for one person. My husband then tells him he's not paying for his meal, to which the waiter replies, "oh you will pay." We go up to the register & our waiter is the one who checks us out. My husband tells him we'll be leaving a review and is told just you don't have to say anything, just pay your bill. Having been in food service for years, I walked out to avoid escalating the situation further. My husband said the manager came over, ended up comping his meal, and then the waiter slid a receipt over requesting a tip! He didn't receive one. We have gone to many Mexican restaurants and never experienced a situation such as this. The queso was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe place was amazing especially for a restaurant that is in a small town. The place is pretty clean and it has a very comfy and almost homey atmosphere while still feeling like the type of place you would take a date to. The prices for everything was in a good range and nothing felt overpriced. The staff were all friendly and nothing but polite and the food was immaculate. The wait for the food was a little long mostly due to it being busy and not a lot of workers but the food was well worth the wait. It is the perfect place to just hang out and talk with friends and family as well as the perfect place to take a date and just sit down and talk with people. At the front of the restaurant there also is boxes of 50 to 25 cent Mexican candy which is really cool and really fun as well since the candy is cheap and isnāt really something you come across a lot in South Dakota. The food and decorations are also very authentic and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I decided to make the short drive from Sioux Falls to try.
Don't let the front area fool you if it looks packed. I was thinking we were going to have a long wait, but we got in under 5 minutes :) .
The Margarita on the rocks was delish. I prefer queso over the runny cheese dip that was offered. The salsa had good flavor. They do not offer birria, so I tried one chorizo taco. The chicken fajitas came out on a hot plate but were not sizzling and warm at best. Chicken could use more seasoning.
Service fee was added to our bill for using a card for payment. -- Not a complaint,...
