Usually very good. Not tonight! Our waitress, CJ is terrific as a magician, she constantly disappeared. It took forever to get our food, she was too busy talking to the only other 2 customers she had. When they finally left, she was gracious enough to get our food. She put down our plates and said, enjoy! Then Houdini disappeared! We were supposed to get coleslaw with our dinner, well, we didn't. I kept looking for her to ask for the coleslaw, mind you, there were only 2 other tables besides ours, but CJ only had our table. Lucky us! About 3/4 through our meal she came over and asked how everything was. We were supposed to get coleslaw with our dinner. She never apologized, but she did get the coleslaw. Then she gave us the bill and guess what? She disappeared again. My husband needed a container for the remainder of his meal. We finally got the attention of the only other waitress there. OMG, our plan was just to stop in for coffee. We ended up having breakfast for dinner, sharing a big piece of cake, AND having 2 cups coffee, while enjoying fun conversation with Annie and her daughter. We'll ABSOLUTELY be coming back here! The atmosphere was completely welcoming, the food was hot, fast and tasty (eggs jist how I love them) and the coffee was hot and FRESH! (A new pot of regular was brewed up when we ordered. This place is a gem! There's some community boards advertising fun local activities- plays, bazaars, fairs, etc. We saw one of the specials being served, and there was a full cob of corn delivered with it. I bet it was local and fresh, as someone was advertising selling corn by the dozen on a sign. Loved this diner! Ooh- theres also a super cute sunroom...

Just what the doctor ordered. I was having a bad week and if there was only one truth in life it would be that good food can make you feel better. Not only was the food fresh, hot, and satisfying, the service was exceptional. Every encounter with any employee was pleasant and professional. I must make it a point that my wait time after ordering was only about 10 minutes, quickest service I've had in a while. There are many little things I was pleased to see such as even though it was a slow time I saw every employee keeping busy.
