I only eat here about one time per year due to location. I was reminded again of how local breakfast joints are the best places to eat. The dining area isn't going to impress anyone but the friendly, local service, good food, and great prices will bring you back. The waitress asked genuine questions and offered helpful advice on the menu. I ordered a small mess and it was still plentiful and delicious. It had more flavor than other semi-local versions of the mess. My bill stayed under $10 which is hard to find anymore. Beef pot pie was like the commercial "Where's the beef?" as it had just 3-4 strands of shredded brisket and was more like cream of beef vs traditional pot pie. Maybe it's a local delicacy consisting of flat noodle, potatos and beef shreds in a bland gravy?
