After giving this fast food franchise diner four chances, I feel compelled to warn others. Each visit has been a letdown, and I’ve finally learned my lesson.
I had high hopes for this place from all the positive online reviews but I found out what it serves is fast food on plate, pretending it’s something more. It’s not, but in turn charges high prices as if you’re eating at a quality homemade diner. The place is a franchise and the food tastes like it and is clearly low-quality, and pre made products. Somehow, despite using premade items, they still manage to prepare the food incorrectly! Whether it’s overcooked, undercooked, or just plain unappetizing because it’s so greasy, they can’t seem to get it right.
To make matters worse, the portion sizes are laughable—always smaller than what’s described on the menu. Me and my son were arguing about the patty weight so we purchased a 1/4lb burger and weighed out the patty. Guess what? 3.1 oz, not 4.0oz as described on the menu. It’s like they’re trying to cut corners and the customer ends up paying for it (literally).
Don’t be fooled by the Monday “half-price burger” advertisement at this diner—it’s not the deal they make it out to be. Sure, the burger itself might be discounted, but here’s the catch: they charge full price for sides, which are normally included at other places.
By the time you add a side and a drink, you’re paying the same price (or even more) than you would at a diner where the sides come with the burger by default. The so-called “deal” feels like a bait-and-switch, and you’re not actually saving any money.
I’d rather go somewhere else, pay the full price for a burger and get my fries included. At least then I’d feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. This diner’s promotion is misleading and honestly not worth the hype.
So, after four bad experiences, I’m done. There are far better options out there, so save your money and your stomach by avoiding this...
Read moreThe food is all so good! This was one of our favorite food stops on our 4600 mile road trip in September. We were starving as we were driving from Texas to South Dakota. We ended up finding this diner online and we are so glad that we did. It is just a little diner in a small town off the highway. The staff was all very friendly and there were plenty of options on the menu for anyone’s appetite. I got the cheeseburger and fries and my husband got the KV burger with fried mushrooms. His burger had Swiss cheese, mushrooms, onions, lettuce, etc. it was all so tasty! I wish we had more diners like this around. If you are in town or traveling by, stop in and try the food! They also have great...
Read moreFood was great, but was very surprised to see they don't "social" distance or wear masks there anymore. We sat down, ordered, then before we realized it, the table behind us and the table before us filled with other customers and the whole place began filling as though there was no epidemic. Now after I've already ate and left, I'm thinking to myself, have we all gone crazy? Do we want this thing to ever be over with or not? Let's get serious about this! At least social distance in restaurants, mask up for each others sake and *...
