We wanted hoagies and my mom had seen this new place advertised in a local weekly. IT iS so CUTE and comfortable. My mom kept saying she felt like she was at her grandmother's in Virginia. We ordered for take out at the counter and then decided to stay. The food was really good and the price appropriate for the area- maybe even on the inexpensive side. the staff, including the owner, were friendly and told us some stories of the house. The walls have kitschy things such as local memorabilia (post cards from old FT Louden, Tshirt of "The Mountain Women," etc). I say, drive over and give this new place a try, maybe have a game of checkers while you are there.

First time there and definitely going back! Italian sub was huge with tons of filling! The fresh cut fries were the best I’ve had in a good while! Staff was helpful and very nice! Small nitch of a place with local competition but they have our business to be sure! Totally worth the drive over the mountain!

Delicious overstuffed subs and wraps. Rolls and ingredients were very fresh. They also have daily specials and desserts . Very friendly and accomdating staff. Reasonable prices. Food is offered as takeout or eat in. There are tables to sit and eat inside. Gravel parking lot. Accepts cash and credit cards.

This place is awesome!! Our family has a cabin in the nearby Cowans Gap State Park and we came into town for lunch but our usual spot was closed. We came here not knowing what to expect and were absolutely blown away by how great the food was and how friendly the staff is. We tried many different menu items (cheesesteak hoagie, brisket hoagie, club hoagie, blt sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, french fries, macaroni salad, ham and potato chower, and coconut cream pie) and ALL of it was fresh, delicious and the portions sizes were very generous. The lady who took our order and served us was so sweet and friendly. And yes it's in a house! Just another reason why the atmosphere was so welcoming. PLEASE check this cute...

We were just passing through and I'm so glad we found this location. Stepping inside is almost like a Harry Potter movie where it feels much larger inside than it looks outside. The woman at the counter (owner and her best friend) were extremely polite and offered recommendations that were spot on. There is a lot of history here for people interested while you wait; as their parents collected hundreds of articles dating back into last century. This was an unexpected find for such a small town place, and I cannot...
