The Whistle Stop Deli & Market — Restaurant in Peters Township

I've been to the Whistle Stop Deli a few times. When it comes to the staff, I give them 5 out of 5 stars. They are very friendly and helpful. They have gone out of their way to make sure the food that I buy for my wife does not have gluten. They even gave me a sample of potato salad when I asked. I still have a lot of different food I want to try. So far my favorite has been their breakfast bowls. They even have a soda fountain with coke products. Their prices seem in line with other deli's. A few things need mentioning. The deli is not wheelchair accessible but if you call them, they will bring a menu to you and then your order. There is not public restroom. I think the large fountain soda is a little pricey compared to their food prices. I am looking forward to trying more...

A little on the $ side. Look! I paid $4.99 for a Ham & Cheese Sandwich w/ White American Cheese, Mayo & Mustard, all on white bread. Also noticed a box of Mike & Ikes Candy was $3.29. All XL Kit Kats and Hershey Bars are $3.29. Sure they put lots of money into fixing the place and it's a new business. Just isn't as busy as BJ Sub Shop once was. Pricing will be a huge factor! Oh, let's be real here... it is just Ham & Cheese nothing special. Wouldn't be my go-out-of-the-way stop. Cole Slaw for $1.80 tasted nothing but the dill pickle seeds or whatever seed they were. $1.89 for a cold drink from the cooler. Portion size of the Ham was good. The same amount I get anywhere else. Ordered an Italian and Chicken Salad hoagie. I’m sorry I couldn’t snap a pic, but these subs were gone far too quickly. The rolls were soft and not dense, which I appreciate! All too often, a bad roll ruins the experience. Great texture! The meats and cheeses were both full of flavor! Quite a bit on the rolls as well.
