NuVegan Cafe Petersburg — Restaurant in Petersburg

First time for everything and they didn’t disappoint. The welcome was welcoming, the food was solid. I really appreciated that the cinnamon roll wasn’t ridiculously sweet - such a nice balanced treat. The drumsticks were fantastic, flavorful, crunch, filling. The greens were valid, no complaints. Now - the Mac it could’ve used a wee bit more love & something about the texture threw me off at first but it was GOOD.

I will definitely go back for the steak and mushroom mashed potato meal, it’s 2 hours from me but i would definitely make the drive for quality vegan food. I do appreciate that it’s also black owned - absolutely love to see it!

I also must add, getting the food is so nice and quick. Can’t beat that!

Would definitely recommend, vegan or not. You outta visit.

Circled back on 08/17 to try the pepper steak. With the yams and the collard greens 9/10 definitely recommend those 2 sides. On my third visit I’ll try the country...

I am kinda a new vegan, i would say i am a vegetarian, but boy! Am i in love with their food! We have ordered their food a few times from DoorDash but yesterday we finally dinned in and wow!! So impressed!! The staff and i believe one of the owners, spoke to us and was so personable!! I had the black bean burger and honestly with years of eating them, it was the best i have ever had!! The black bean burger had crispy edges and so much flavor and unlike other black bean burgers it held together beautifully!! We had to come back today to get their lasagna and that’s why i am posting now because this is legitimately is to die for! I am sad to be moving from Petersburg but i will drive out of my way anytime i can to order from here! Plus their dinning room is so awesome and has so much heart in it, my God bless everyone at this restaurant and have a lifetime of success...
