Mostly beer and soda sold as singles. Whatever this place used to be in its heyday it isn't any more. It's dark, none of the beer or soda coolers have lights in them and it's dirty. It looks like the owner has given up. Has lots of potential due to its remote location and no competition as a convenience store. Stock it with stuff from Sam's and Costco and maybe veggies from small local farms. Walk into a truck stop and see what they sell and sell that. It's not hard, you just need a smart manager that's honest and cares about getting people what they need at reasonable prices. Once that's done, they can think about opening the restaurant back up. They don't need a chef, just reliable, clean, mostly healthy, fairly priced food made fresh like at a diner. Seriously, find what works well and copy that. Then you can think about making it unique. Read moreDecided to stop and checkout the food truck outside this place, turned out to be a regretted decision. The menu is small which isn’t too big of a deal but the prices are horrible. First of all they don’t have the prices listed just the menu items. Ordered two tacos and two sandwiches and the total was $30!!! Thought that was high but decided to give it a try thinking that maybe the tacos would be big and the sandwiches would be good sized as well and of course hoped the food would be good and worth the cost. I was disappointed! The sandwiches were small and the tacos were a joke being so tiny. The quality was nothing to brag about either. This place won’t stay open for long. Don’t waste your time or your money. Drive a few miles down the road and get something worthwhile. Wouldn’t...
Read moreAll I can say is Damn. I finely got by there when I hadn't eaten and was hungry. I ordered a half pound Angus Beef Burger Basket all the way. Little did I know at the time they had a Special on and it was actually a 3/4 pound Burger. I tried my best to finish it and even ignored my fries. I did it justice but couldn't eat it all. This is what I call a True Old Fashioned Greasy Hamburger. The kind that takes you back to Yester Years. Do yourself a favor and make the drive you will be glad you did. Shout out to Joe and Mark for turning Cruisers into my favorite Hamburger Joint in Corpus...
