First they have the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE & atmosphere - feels like HOME. I can understand why it’s so popular.

The first 2 times I ordered (carry-out/to-go), the guy at the counter remembered my name by my second visit. It seemed odd for nowadays, but stood out. I’m so used to Restaurants sometimes attempting the bare minimum that Rick’s Good Service seemed “odd” oops 🤷🏼‍♀️hehe

Now that i know that’s Rick’s Café’s signature to have real customer service where they actually care what the customer wants, doesnt matter id you’re eating in the restaurant or getting food to-go, the vibe there is that they are sincerely happy to have you —- it’s like stepping into a different time zone when people still treated others like people vs a number.

Food is freshly prepared, yummy, and portions are HUGE! So come hungry, share, or be orepared to have left overs.

Hot Tip: since February of 2023 — Hours Changed & OPEN during late afternon/dinner & l on weekends. They used to only be open during the morning until 2pm. Call to confim exact dates and times. Plenty of parking for care/trucks/ possibly 18-wheelers...

Such a great place to eat, customer service was great, especially the waitress that was serving us... I didn't get her name, thanks again queen she was outstanding with a great personality, she made my morning go on a good note. The food is so good personally recommend any plate🍳🧇🧈🧆of course! all are delicious such good seasonings may the cook get a raise and much appreciate feedback thank you chef 👨‍🍳🧑🏻‍🍳👏👏👏you have a very good taste and hand for seasoning 🧂🫶🙌!!! mmm food🤤🤭it’s s definitely comforting food with the right amount to fill you up leaving you feeling satisfied. I will absolutely go back again, even though its a 2 hour drive and some, depending on the day, time and that bumper to bumper fun traffic lol but it’s still worth the drive. I'm happy that I found a new place to go and stuff my face, with my kids of course lol ;). Thank you for such unforgettable memories, great service, awesome people and...

First and last time stopping for food there. I ordered a sausage biscuit for the road. The waitress claimed that they don't have sausage biscuits. My question was do you serve biscuit (Yes). Do you serve sausage (Yes). Great, give me a sausage and a biscuit and I'll put it together myself. I did not realize until I was on the road again that the sausage biscuit cost me $10.49. Of course I'm pretty passed. Called the restaurant and complained about the price. She once again commented that they don't know how to make a sausage biscuit. I asked her if she ever had a sausage biscuit herself. " Never have I had or even heard of one." Total B.S. STEER CLEAR

FYI: The biscuit was so dry it totally crumbled. Probably the reason she was asking if I wanted ...

A Must Stop Spot minutes from Paizly Vintage- Two years after Hwy 138 was completed, Mabel & William Beekley built The Yucca Inn on what was part of an original 640 acre homestead. Mr. Beekley had been a truck driver and was one of the first to see the potential for desert travel, so he built a gas station to service the ever increasing car and truck travel. They soon added a small eating area as well as a small convenience store, the forerunner to the current Mini-Marts. Mrs. Mabel Beekley not only helped her husband with his trucking business in Los Angeles with his accounting, but largely managed & operated The Yucca Inn by herself. Maxine Lyons, Mrs. Beekley's Daughter, recalls the "Grapes of Wrath" situation as the desperate people came through Hwy 138 from Oklahoma and other areas seeking fortunes in Sunny California. In World War II, The Yucca Inn was so busy with Army convoys the family built another restaurant in West Cajon Valley. The Yucca Inn has been in business almost continually since 1934. #ricksroadsidecafe #bucketlist #phelancalifornia #paizlyvintage #route66

Awesome little roadside experience! Great food and large portions! A note to management: Please change the description of your tuna sandwich to portray an accurate image in the heads of people who are only able to go off the menu. I read that you had a grilled tuna sandwich, when in reality, it was a tuna salad sandwich on grilled sourdough bread. I was expecting a grill tuna filet. Even though I did not get that meal I had imagined getting, I rather enjoyed the tuna salad sandwich.
