Cataula Creek — Restaurant in Phenix City

First time here... heard about it when we were at Pokewood Creek last time and told they were opening this one. It's right were the old pies and thighs was...Had 2 waters, fish tacos and fries, side of Mac n cheese and bacon pimento cheeseburger and fries...$30ish dollars. Fresh cut fries are always so good! Bacon pimento cheeseburger was amazing, literally one of the best burgers hands down I have ever had, just delicious! Mac n cheese wasn't bad, little more seasoning would give it the edge. Fish tacos came with big pieces of fish but not seasoned at all, neither was the cilantro lime sauce on the side...just get the seasoning right on the sauce and in the fry batter for the fish and I know it would make the fish tacos great! Of course, one of my favorite things, they have Pepsi products for all my mountain dew fans!! I will definitely be back to try more things or just get that burger...

i took 2 friends there for the first time, for myself also. i got a fried fish sandwich, hamburger and the other some kind of steak burger. the fish breading was burned, and dry, the fries were burned. Needless to say no one finished their food. Everything was tasteless and over cooked. i was very disappointed and embarrassed. the food was over priced for what you got. the waitress was very nice and accommodating. i do not have a problem paying for good food! the restaurant was clean and looked inviting. My suggestion is that you should either teach those kids to cook and choose a more healthy diverse menu that feathers food that is more appealing. just because you pile a load of burnt fries next to the food, it does not make the food taste better (that's why they call fries a SIDE ORDER not the main meal. needless to say i will not be...

Living in Cataula is was great that a new restaurant was taking over after Pie N Thighs closed. The pizza is always outstanding, as are the burgers, wings, and chicken tenders, and the fries. The times that we have dined in or picked up an order to go the service has been great. The fish sandwich however was not outstanding, as the fish was tasteless. It was like there was zero seasoning on the breading. I am hopeful they get that corrected, but even if they do not that will not stop us from going there (just stop me from getting the fish from there). If you are in the area and want something good to eat, you really can't go wrong with stopping at...
