Holme Style Pizza — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Honestly all around a terrible experience, I ordered from Holme Style Pizza for the first time last night via the app slice. My order was a large 1/2 pineapple pizza, French fries, a piece of cheesecake and a chocolate milk shake. Shortly after placing the order we got a call from the pizza shop saying they were out of milk and couldn’t make the milkshake, the woman asked me if we wanted to sub the milkshake out for something else and we said no, to which she seemed very annoyed and tried to push the issue, we again politely said no. She then offered to send one of her drivers to go get milk but said she was also out of chocolate ice cream so we had to choose between vanilla and strawberry which we again politely declined and just asked for a refund for the milkshake that we weren’t doing to get, she then proceeded to hang up on us. When the food got here the pizza was not a large it was a medium, despite being charged for a large. The French fries were okay, but there was no cheesecake which we still wanted and had already paid for. The food was overall average, I’m not a fan of shops that rip people off, if I’m paying almost $15 for a large pizza I expect a large pizza...

I will never patronize this business again. While there food is good the lady who was working there tonight 3/18/21 is downright rude and nasty. I placed my order via the Slice App I received an email that my order would be ready between 10:35 and 10:45. I go into restaurant at 10:45 she rudely stated “it’s not ready”. I sat down and one would think that she would let me know the timeframe as to when my order would be ready. A worker comes in goes to oven, retrieves bag and ask “are you Lisa?” I respond yes and he gives me my food. I then ask this young man if I can have a honey mustard sauce he replies sure. Rude lady interrupts though she is assisting someone on the phone and she states it’s a dollar. Mind you I purchased chicken and each time I have ordered chicken from there I have always been asked what kind of sauce I want and have never been charged for sauce. Use to order from here all the time awhile ago but stopped due to price always increasing and the quality of food not as good. The place I now order from is closed this weekend for 4th of July, so I decided to try Holme Circle, thought how bad can it be, what a mistake. I should have cancelled the order as soon as the lady on the phone got rude, because I asked why was my total so high. Won't go into detail but should've just cancelled at that point. Ordered a plain pizza and cheese steak almost $30 with tip. Ok I get it prices have increased everywhere and I dont mind the increase if the food is decent. The pizza was so thin with barely any cheese or sauce just plain bland. The cheese steak had no cheese, the roll wasn't fresh and the meat was tasteless dried overcooked and stringy. And to top it off, the food was cold. I will never order from Holme Circle again . I truly don't like to post bad reviews about a neighborhood business but they should serve better food for the neighbors that patronize...
