Los Rodeos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Been a regular at this place for 6-7 years now & will NEVER return!! The food is okay!! Not the best Mexican food I've ever had but it's decent!! Cheese dip & chips is the best I've ever had. The reason I will never return is bc there is a few select employees at this location that are very nice & polite, however there is more that is RUDE as can be & disrespectful!! Every job I've ever worked at any business dealing with the public, our goal was to satisfy & please the customer. To make them happy!! Well these employees are not like that, when you're a customer especially a "regular" it seems when you asked for fresh tea & not some that has been sitting on ice watering down the past hour.. that the job of the employee would be to say.. yes ma'am I will get that for you but at this location the employee will tell you no & will act as if they have a problem with getting you fresh tea, they will say this is the same tea as what we have in the back & then stand there & argue with you, if you tell them it taste watered down.. AND IT IS ALWAYS WATERED DOWN IF IT COMES FROM THE FRONT JUGS WITH ICE!! Your first glass of tea here is GREAT "it comes from the back" but all refills SUCK!! They do NOT want to give you but 1 glass of the good tea for some crazy reason!! In my opinion it is disrespectful to argue with a paying customer & to have such a rude nasty attitude!! I know what I like & I know what is good to me & what is not good to me.. who are you to tell me that I am wrong the tea taste good?? When I just tasted it & it was watered down!! They do this EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO THERE!! ARGUE WITH A REGULAR...

Service:

I have been eating at this place for as long as they have been open, with my Dad. I have been there pretty much at least 2 times a month for years now. They are always polite, and by far the best service I’ve ever received. I can only remember one time after I’ve been there years that my glass was empty and that was only 1 time (like I said, been going there years). My Dad and I actually end up joking about trying to empty our glasses before they can refill them, since they are so good. They can be comedic at times too if they know you (at least that’s my experience). Also, to add to the great service-I have literally seen them sprinting in the back to keep everything going efficiently.

Food: It’s average (compared to most Mexican restaurants), I mean Mexican food has always been my favorite. So of course-it’s probably all good to me. I have had no issues with the food the whole period of time I’ve been going there.

Food I recommend:

Hot cheese burritos

Literally two tortillas, covered in melted white cheese dip (aka queso blanco) and a red sauce-just enough of spice to flavor it well. It’s not hot, I don’t like spicy things (I’m the one who gets the mild sauce when I went to Taco Bell if that tells you. So if you like cheese topped things, it’s good.

Food was good. Service was extremely poor. Seemed inconvenienced by having to wait on us. Was “huffy and puffy” when taking our order, party of six. He didn’t “listen”. Asked for sour cream twice, never received. Ordered a meal for two toddler children to share, (asked for an extra plate), they brought and charged us for two meals. Ordered cheese dip, and instead they brought sweet tea, as once again they didn’t listen. It was the craziest situation. The girl who helped during the meal wth refills, (as they never refilled our drinks), was very kind, however. Ceiling fans were on high, directly above tables, fajitas were quickly “cool”. Bottom line, I would not recommend this...
