Bobby D's Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Phoenix

I've been going here on and off throughout the years since I was a kid. I am now in my mid 40's. Over the last couple of years, the quality of the food has drastically gone downhill in my experience. I ordered a prime rib, with red potatoes, salad, dinner roll, and a blue moon to wash it down. I want to start off by saying that our waitress was top-notch. Great attitude, very attentive, and had some great jokes. The overall atmosphere is what I have always remembered. However, the quality of the food has much to be desired. I ordered the prime rib medium rare. It came out closer to being Grey with almost no pink at all. It tasted as if it had been reheated or even was previously frozen. The red potatoes were undercooked and had no flavor( lacked salt and butter). The salad was to be expected with a side salad. And the dinner roll was nothing special. I have noticed that Brian is no longer cooking and that the food has much to be desired. Hopefully, management can turn this around and bring this place back to its former glory for prime rib. Bobby D's is one of those old school neighborhood bar. It's the type of place where there are regulars that go there daily. But there's also people like myself that go about once a week. I don't drink alcohol but I enjoy their food! It's quality, fresh & the prices are low. Especially for what you get. They do run specials. Monday night's are .50 wings. That's what my friends always order. I had the baked cod with roasted red potatoes and a hearty dinner salad. All this for $8.95. Their drink prices are on par with other bars. I have never in my life felt so uncomfortable and not wanted. My boyfriend and I walked in the bar and we weren't even greeted. We sat at a booth for about 5 mins before we were even helped. The energy was just so thick and negative. It felt like it should of had a sign posted with the words "WHite only". I'm biting my freaking lip so bad right now! We just came for the food.
