PINE CREEK INN — Restaurant in Pike Township

Sadly this is a very honest no star review, but we have to give at least one. Waitress was not only rude but when an entire table of 12 says the pickles taste off and it takes you telling us the people like them I don’t know why you don’t? Is just plain disgusting after about everyone saying something she finally agreed to at least gives a replacement of fried cheese curds which was prolly the best thing in the menu, the ravioli was so under cooked it was crunchy, and god forbid keeping a pitcher of water on the table for 8 people who were drinking water is uncalled for, but asking every-time she walked by to get water to washed down. And who charges $4.50 for a cup of juice for children to have to drink? Or for lettuce and tomato on a burger that says it has that? Furthermore this place has been so talked about being so good and when we bring our family here from out of town and country and we were excited only to be let down with such distaste and disappointment.

Sure I would love to further discuss this however Kelly claimed she texted you but you were unavailable to take care of it while we were in your establishment and told us all we could do was call you tomorrow and talk about what went wrong instead of having the situation taken care of immediately! I understand when places get busy and it’s difficult for staff to attend to large tables however there were just a few 2 tops and a couple seated at the bar, also when someone is trying to understand why Kelly wasn’t even apologizing or trying to make things right after being In service myself I understand it isn’t always our fault but we do what we can to ensure a happy customer! Sadly you do not have a happy customer from this poor excuse of what we were hoping to be a family dining memory of good food and conversation. So as this is being said I’m sure you will be hearing from us tomorrow as Kelly made damn sure to inform us you were not available. This place has unfortunately fallen from grace in the past 5 years. It used to be one of our favorite places to visit but after our last visit never again. The visit on 10/3 was a disaster. Our waitress was horrible. I don't know if it was her first day or what but she should just hang it up and retire. She messed up ever order she took from every table around us. She messed up our appetizer order even though we told her 3 times what it was supposed to be. We were charged full price for refills without being told about it. Not to mention the entire visit we had to listen to her run around and moan and groan and sigh. Someone needs to teach her not to vent in front of customers. Then when were checking out she charged us the wrong bill. So that was a disaster. To be fair though, it wasn't entirely her fault. I made the mistake of getting the salad bar with my meal. In the past the salad bar was one of the best parts of the restaurant. Not anymore. I got the broccoli salad and a pasta salad with crab meat in it. Took one of bite of each and could tell immediately they were spoiled. I watch another customer load his plate up after me and hoped to god he wasn't about to get food poisoning. I attempted to order the fried chicken which they were out of so I ordered the smothered chicken which I was pleased with. However I am glad I ordered the baked potato instead of fries. My husband ordered a cheeseburger with fries. His entire meal was very very dry. It was so bad he went home and made himself another cheeseburger. I came here because it's one of the closest places near my cabin. First I want to start off by saying that the service here is out of this world my waitress was incredibly friendly and helped me figure out what to eat and which dessert I would like since I wanted something made in-house. She also kept my unsweetened tea glass full. I also really like the atmosphere here the way it's decorated is actually very fun and unique, the only thing that I'm going to take a star off for with the atmosphere was there was one waitress that literally had her butt cheeks hanging out, however that was not the case with my waitress who was dressed modestly and normally. I think for the price the food could be better, my burger was pretty good I give it three stars out of five however the peanut butter cheesecake was phenomenal. I really enjoy when my peanut butter pies have that rich peanut butter taste to them and this one was very good very rich. However the burger was just okay I got the fireman and I was surprised that it was so small and My fries were a little greasy. I know some people may prefer this however I like mine to be a little bit more crispy. This place is definitely worth a stop though just for the atmosphere, the service, and the dessert is fantastic.
