Miller's Bread — Restaurant in Pikeville

During a recent visit, we decided to try the special of the day, which was a classic pairing of tomato soup and grilled cheese. I'm generally skeptical about ordering tomato soup as it tends to be a hit or miss in most places. However, the soup was flavorful, with just the right consistency and seasoning, making it just right.

The grilled cheese sandwich served alongside was also amazing. It was perfectly toasted, with a golden, buttery crust encasing a gooey, melted cheese in every bite.

We also recently tried their carrot cake. It was an great blend of texture and flavor, striking a perfect balance between moistness and sweetness, without being overwhelming. The frosting was creamy and not too sweet, complementing the cake perfectly.

On other occasions, I've stopped by for their coffee, which has always been a much-needed pick-me-up.

Their bread, which I've purchased several times, deserves a special mention as well. You have to try...

This was the perfect place to stop on our way to Fall Creek Falls State Park. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and staff was available for any questions we had. They have a huge menu to choose from, which is always a plus when you have kiddos with picky pallets. Everything was made fresh, and packed perfect for our to-go schedule. The food we had was DELICIOUS! I had a sandwich (BJ) that was a special, my girls (9&10) had the chicken salad and a sandwich. They ate ALL OF IT. We went for the waterfalls, but we are now trying to figure out how to visit again just...

It was okay but I won’t go back. Placed an order for two loaves of sourdough bread and they were not at all what I expected. And they were about $7 or so a piece. They were very dense and kinda hard. They didn’t even call to tell me my order was ready, my grandmother ended up calling them and had to pick them up. Also, while ordering cinnamon rolls (which were also sickly sweet) I had the pleasure of watching flies land on the items in the glass case… killed my appetite… overall was not a great experience.
